New thread for hopefully an exciting Sunday episode. Poor Hayley.

OP posts:
Selks · 04/09/2014 19:22

I know, it was excruciating Hayley waiting at home for Roy Sad

maras2 · 04/09/2014 19:22

Go Freddie.Rotaboy gets more treachorous by the minute. And now Jess.OMG.Be still my beating heart.Glad I've found this site.

Bakeoffcakes · 04/09/2014 19:23

I loved the way they introduced Jess in the changing room. And Roy and Elizabeth deserved their telling off.

Fantastic episode!

R4 · 04/09/2014 19:25

Well, that was a lot to digest in one episode!

MrsCampbellBlack · 04/09/2014 19:25

I reckon Roy would feel at home in the stepparents section on here Wink

maras2 · 04/09/2014 19:28

So it was Jess in the changing room?

polyhymnia · 04/09/2014 19:29

Brief summary please for those of us who missed it and won't be able to catch up instantly?

rembrandtsrockchick · 04/09/2014 19:30

Bugger! I missed the last bit between Dipstick and Hayley. I take it she has rumbled him?

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 04/09/2014 19:33

It was a good episode although a little eastenders!

Whilst Jess being pregnant with knobs child is good I'm a little disappointed as I think this is going to detract from what could have been a really interesting DV story. Jess being pregnant seems a bit sensationalist.

Do love the idea of buying a new outfit to confront the ow!!

nauticant · 04/09/2014 19:33

So it was Jess in the changing room?

I heard that and spent the rest of the episode thinking "Who was that vaguely familiar-sounding woman in the changing room?" Doh!

lalsy · 04/09/2014 19:36

Oh blimey, I missed the middle section, people kept ringing dammit! What changing room? What happened in it?

TheOneWiththeNicestSmile · 04/09/2014 19:40

It's on the website ALREADY!!!!

listening again. Nobody interrupt me!!!

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 04/09/2014 19:40

My, but they're bold; to do TV on the radio. They must trust the concentration capacity of their audience.

Was such a throw-away line

"Oh I remember that stage." (Or something similar.)

Cue Shock faces across the entire Archer-verse.

WhatWouldFreddieDo · 04/09/2014 19:45

I don't think this episode is up there - just looked and it's yesterdays - aargh.

mummytime · 04/09/2014 19:52

Just re-listened to todays (via the Archers home page).

CuttedUpPear · 04/09/2014 19:53

I predict Knob's line of Jess's bump will be that she 'stole' his sperm. From his knob, direct like.

Interesting contrast with Henry's originate, which was given freely.

GypsyFloss · 04/09/2014 19:53

I missed this bit. Child rang. You'd imagine after 17 years she'd know better! Jess with a bump. Hurrah.

And good on yer Freddie . It needed saying.

GypsyFloss · 04/09/2014 19:54

Urgh CuttedUpPear that just brings to mind all manner of grim images!

CuttedUpPear · 04/09/2014 19:55

Here, WhatwouldFreddieDo in the black box on the right.

BasketzatDawn · 04/09/2014 19:55

Aye, I was thinking 'Was that during his fascist 'phase'?'. Angry

As TA goes, that episode was a humdinger. I'm glad someone pointed out it was Jess in the changing room though. I imagine the pregnancy is obvious to Helen. Will she stick with the lying toad? I fear she will.

The biggest lying toad though has to be Roy. I realised tonight I dislike him more intensely than Charlie and Knob and all the speech-free ones together. It would be great if Hayley stayed on and we saw her (realistically) pulling it all together after the lying toad gets his visa and job in a Canadian hotel. Surely the Ambridge visa fairy can oblige again.

Hayley would need a new job too though. Poor woman. Surely she can get a job in a nursery or wherever. I wonder if Vicki can have a personality transplant and change her plans so there is less disruption for Hayley and the girls. She just cannot be another one to make it all up after adultery surely.

TheOneWiththeNicestSmile · 04/09/2014 19:56

I wanted to punch Roy for at least three reasons tonight

Grrrrrr

nauticant · 04/09/2014 20:02

The way I'd play The Knob is to have him swear blind to Helen he's not the daddy and then, with feigned outrage, refuse a paternity test. And there'll be Helen by his side saying that he shouldn't have to go through with one just on the say-so of a vindictive ex.

BasketzatDawn · 04/09/2014 20:02

Yep, Jess must have done a science GCSE( or home ec) so she must have a spare test-tube or turkey baster lying round somewhere. Wherever she is living these days. I hope it all comes out now.

I fear tomorrow will be a Let it Wash Over You episode - TA has previous for this. Sad Though it IS Friday ...

DH missed this - came in just for the music. We will Listen Again. Deffo.

unitarian · 04/09/2014 20:09

Wow.
Just wow.

HumphreyCobbler · 04/09/2014 20:20

haven't posted for ages but had to after listening to tonight's

Shock

such drama! It was fab. The rhythm of the whole episode was different, the scenes were much shorter.
