Actually I don't think it was Ben. I think it was Freddie who would have been with Ben (didn't Ruth say Ben was going to see him?).

Elizabeth will have words with him and he will throw the Roy snog back at her causing much angst and stroppiness

But doesn't the combine belong to Home Farm? (Tell me if I'm wrong...) I'm certain the first one did and they've upgraded since then. Tbh I thought it was pushing it rather when Adam said "Charlie would not allow Ed on the payroll." Surely the people carrying out the contract do the hiring and firing? Charlie's nose-pokery seems hightly unlikely to me.

I guess bridge farm is their biggest contract and Charlie won't let them take a day off to do Brookfield rather than outrightly ordering him not to do it.
