Can I PLEASE just have 13 minutes? 13 measly minutes to myself to listen to The Archers?

OMG - is that damous last words? Is Ruth going to lose the baby or have a problem Sad?

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 21/03/2014 19:16

GreatAngrySad

Helen all set up to be isolated.

Ruth all set up to be made very sad.

QueenOfTheSlipstream · 21/03/2014 19:16

Doh - that would be famous.

MrsCampbellBlack · 21/03/2014 19:17

I love Ian.

Have been too busy to keep up but was the kitchen cost ever revealed - am in process of getting new kitchen quoted and was laughing with my own Kingsley about Jenny Darling - good job he too was an archers addict Wink

They never grow into it. Every single celebrity appearance features the celeb sounding as if they've been carved from a lump of wood. However, it is a perennial feature of TA so we have to put up with it.

Team Ian!

stilllearnin · 21/03/2014 19:26

Can I be the first to say 'Back da fuck up Titchy!!' (my first swear on the 'ternet)

stilllearnin · 21/03/2014 19:29

did i do it right? i'm not sure

HolidayCriminal · 21/03/2014 19:30

I found the fawing over Sir BW cringeworthy.
Rob's got a nasty streak, doesn't he?

Shallishanti · 21/03/2014 19:42

Rob IS a nasty streak

RhinestoneCowgirl · 21/03/2014 19:46

Do characters in soaps not know how dangerous it is to say how happy they are? Poor Nigel was waxing lyrical about his happy family life just before his death plunge

Things are not going to go well for Ruth Sad

Martorana · 21/03/2014 19:48

You get the feeling they've never actually watched or listened to a soap, don't you, rhinestone?

ErrolTheDragon · 21/03/2014 20:00

The thing is, presumably the slebs that appear on TA are there because they are also fans - having grown up with it all their lives - so Sir Bradley probably was totally overawed by meeting Lynda. I mean, ringing the Olympic bell must have been nothing compared to that honour! Grin

Loved fallon's response to Lynda's praise of her organisation.

Ian... well said but.... better not to have said. Rob isn't just a bully, he's a clever manipulator. He'll insert that wedge between ian and Helen so smoothly.... Sad

Hoping the SWs don't inflict lamby miscarriage on Ruth. It's too predictable.

HolidayCriminal · 21/03/2014 20:04

BW is notoriously shy in public so I found his lines credible, tbh.
Supposedly to be very funny & a performer when he's had a few, though.

ComposHat · 21/03/2014 20:04

much prefer the burning down Catheter Hall scenario too)

Nah I am sure ir has a good sprinkler system. Phnarr Phnarr.

OOOH SO much to talk about tonight that I am SHOUTING about it Grin

Sadly can't stop....

But, forget Sir Wiggo, RobtheNob, Preggorooth etc. The important news of the night as that 20mo dd (who has flapped to TA theme for over a year) tonight shouted "The ARCHEEEEEE" when it came on! Mission accomplished, she is converted!

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 21/03/2014 21:15

Welcome pasbeaucoupdepetitegendarmeCake

GypsyFloss · 21/03/2014 21:19

Good man Ian . I've wanted to do that myself for ages. However how long will it be before Titchy creeps to Helen about how badly he was hurt and how he didn't want to upset her therefore he didn't make a scene at the time. Thus dividing and ruling as we've said all along.

Lyndies posh voice when she introduced herself to Wiggo made me smile too. I love her in all her stereotyped glory and I know at least one Lynda Snell .

Lastly I hear doom music coming for Roooth. I wonder of it'd be too much to ask for her to die in childbirth Grin

WillieWaggledagger · 21/03/2014 21:22

Gypsy I think that as others have pointed out it's likely Ruth and jolene are safe for a good while given that 50% of Jill's children have lost their spouses already Grin

cheminotte · 21/03/2014 21:43

Yes loved how Lynda went all Hyacinth Bucket when she met Sir B!

Martorana · 21/03/2014 22:06

You know, I think the script writers have taken note of those of us who complained about the comic working class characters- and have transferred the ridiculous, Shakespeare-like comedy scenes to the posh characters instead. That's the only explanation for the absurdly over written Hazel, the daft Jenny and the kitchen subplot, and now Linda going all Hyacinth Bucket.
