They never grow into it. Every single celebrity appearance features the celeb sounding as if they've been carved from a lump of wood. However, it is a perennial feature of TA so we have to put up with it.

The thing is, presumably the slebs that appear on TA are there because they are also fans - having grown up with it all their lives - so Sir Bradley probably was totally overawed by meeting Lynda. I mean, ringing the Olympic bell must have been nothing compared to that honour!

You know, I think the script writers have taken note of those of us who complained about the comic working class characters- and have transferred the ridiculous, Shakespeare-like comedy scenes to the posh characters instead. That's the only explanation for the absurdly over written Hazel, the daft Jenny and the kitchen subplot, and now Linda going all Hyacinth Bucket.
