I now understand the bedlinen scene. It was to give Hellin a small and inconsequential victory over the man who is shortly going to be controlling her every move. I think they didn't follow up the Paul EA thing because no way would Lillian allow herself to become a victim for long - she'd have cottoned on and LTB if it had gone on. Whereas this one could run for a long time.

Do we think Rob's cunning plan re asking Pat to babysit at short notice again was that there was a good chance she'd refuse, thus building up the wall he doubtless wants betwixt Helen and her parents? I can't imagine he wanted to see Oklahoma!
