I dip in and out so am a little confused... Couple a weeks ago I heard Lill n Paul having a final goodbye telephone call. About a week later I heard them on the phone again and Paul seemed to be pressurising Lillian to meet him...she was free on Tuesday but said she would meet him on Friday. Just heard tonight's and everyone was saying Tiger and Puss have never looked so well/happy etc which means that something awful is going to happen...what have I missed? I though Lill n Paul had split?

Yes ponders I'm glad she's got her job back. I will say that I never noticed the voices of the 'Clarrie' actresses changing so that was clever of them!

she does, doesn't she? but we'll get used to it soon enough

I don't remember listening when she left all those years ago, but I was when Clarrie II died, & when Clarrie III took over I definitely thought that she sounded very strange to begin with Wink

I heard the actress interviewed on R4 and she speaks the "Queen's english" no accent at all.

it's is weird when an actor is associated with one particular character to hear how they really speak.

Anita Dobson (Eastenders) & Sue Nicholls (Corrie) spring to mind - esp Sue Nicholls, who is an Hon, & sounds like one Grin - it always sounds as if they're putting the real accent on, not the acting one!

The actor who plays Dot Cotton is fantastically posh-thesp in real life- it's wonderful!

oh yes, seeker, she's another!

do you think they have to be able to do posh-thesp before they're allowed to graduate from drama school?

Does anyone remember Julie Walters as Mrs Overall in Acorn Antiques? she was ever so posh off screen in a huge pixx take by Victoria Wood it was great Grin.
