Did anybody else hear Eddie "interviewing" Chris Bryant this evening?

I missed the beginning & CBA to listen again but I have never heard Eddie being so crass & rude Shock

It was about the passport control queues at Heathrow - he kept asking a Q & then after about 2 sentences, while CB was still talking, he would demand a straght answer even though CB was just getting to the point

CB was very restrained considering but I was stunned.

Maybe they have previous???

Ah. The title mentions Eddie who is always a bit of a one but when you started calling him "crass and rude" I thought that was going a bit far ... but you were talking about a different Eddie, weren't you?Grin Trevor Harrison used to do extra-curricular work but I haven't heard him doing non-Archers stuff for ages.

I heard part of it. I thought Chris Bryant stood up for himself pretty well. Brave of him to do so; he may have an enemy for life there.

I think it's a big problem that so many BBC "journalists" now see themselves as celebrities, not as impartial reporters. Their personal animosities and feelings constantly come across - because they are deliberately put across. We know what these people think about what they're "reporting" on. Another example today was on Today when they played some daft out-take thing of Robert Peston. On a news programme - are listeners supposed to care?

And in fact Chris Bryant said Eddie's interview behaviour was "like a child"; that's very true of John Humphreys - constantly interrupting just because he so adores the sound of his own voice.
