Adam is a sanctimonious prick, isn't he?

This opinion has been brewing for a while but with all his high-ground posturing with Brian has brought it to a head. I know Brian is a slimy toad but his 'let's agree to disagree' stance is fairly reasonable (even if his motives aren't) and Adam is being all holier-than-though when really he's just sulking because Brian & Debbie cooked up the super dairy without him...

And no way does he sound like a real farmer (though neither do any of the other 'farmers' on it except the grundys, who mostly aren't farmers anymore.) He sounds like an actor.

I dislike Adam intensely. Mainly for his awful voice but also for behaving like a sulky brat most of the time. I don't understand what Ian sees in him. But then I never understood what Helen saw in Greg either. Or why Alan and Usha are together.

Adam has left the farm to go adventuring in the world before - why doesn't he do it again. Why is he hanging around somewhere where he feels so undervalued. Ian's trade is totally fexible - he could get a job anywhere - so, please scriptwriters, arrange for them to ride off into the sunset and live happily ever after somewhere a long way away.

And he's so patronising in the way he talks to Ian, as though he's doing him a favour.

I don't get the Alan & Usha thing either.

Yes Tom and Adam need to sod off, Adam cos he is so overworked and seems loathe his job that stopping for a sip of coffee will bring the farms to it's knees so he must get on with the barley. Tom because pork is horrid especially in a lasagne and he nearly killed his Dad by harassing him about pepper, poly tunnels and tidying the yard!

scampadoodle · 22/03/2012 19:09

ooh, no, I am a worshipper of the pig-product...although I would draw the line at pork lasagne.
Tony's heart attack didn't put Tom off his obnoxious stride for long though, did it?! (I do see the logic in the exotic veg growing though).
