what is going on with this storyline... harmless and helpless carer with jailbird husband??? or is there a scam about to rear it's ugly head?

or am i just being really cynical and now expect something bad to happen as they have spent a lot of time on this storyline???? :0

Who knows? It is hard to tell as you think they are leading up to something then nothing happens (all that stuff about matts brother when he was in jail).
I wish someone would give clarrie a job (and am I bad for being pleased smug pat and Tony suffering )

Knowing the Archers, nothing very interesting will happen, but I would love Peggy to get scammed.

I think scam but it is the Archers so probably not - stupid story tho'. If Elona is for real isn't she going to feel rather beholden when she finds out what Peggy is doing? Also, what happens if Peggy dies, could happen.

No, Gigondas, it is essential to root for all the posh characters to suffer. Mind you, Clarrie drives me mental too.

Agree re posh characters but not Caroline or Linda snell (who I used to hate but have warmed too)

I do think her or jack will be joining phil soon

I think by 'posh' I really just mean actual 'Archers'. Clarrie does annoy me more than Susan simply because of her pitiful deference/lack of self-esteem (I know, how mean), and she can be just as judgmental as Susan.

I love The Archers but I struggle to think of any character I really feel warm about.

I'm wondering if Peggy is going to pre-decease Jack and what Elona will do then.

I loved the scene tonight between Jenny and Tony. There was Tony hinting about going bust and it went whooosh right over Jenny's head because she was too preoccupied thinking about collecting Ruighhgighg from his expensive boarding school. arf

Agree re lack of warm feeling for any of the characters. Apart from when they've just died... Nigel, Mummy, Phil, John etc

You've got me thinking who i really feel warm about on TA.... maybe Ruth and Oosha(correct spelling?) oh and J'lene a bit but no one else particularly. Agree Elona or Ilona ? is almost too good to be true.I do quite like Lilian who is amazingly healthy considering the lifestyle she's meant to have, at least she's a laugh.

Peggy will die just in time for the inheritance to save Pat and Tony's business.

Also like Lillian and Caroline. Find Shula and Lizzie pretty nauseating. And pat and Hellin for that matter. Oh, and Susan. And Vickoi

Jennifer is irritating; but she has been kind to Ruaridhdhd. Think I might fancy Will Grundy in a Lady Chatterley sort of way
