There you go, typical Archer mechanical behaviour, pooing in the dairy and ruining everyone's lives.

There was a lovely little scene with Pip, Tom and Brenda covering just that in the last couple of days :o

fivegomadindorset · 24/08/2011 23:12

Shall I ask my mother if she can ask Brine and Shula if they want to do a webchat?

GrendelsMum · 25/08/2011 09:21

Yeeeeeeeeessssssss! yes please. It would be so brilliant to be able to web chat with Brine and Shulaaargh.

Loved Emma being a cow to Nick as well. Is Emma remarkably beautiful? Because personality wise I can't see any reason why the bros would be at daggers drawn over her.

carocaro · 30/08/2011 17:28

GM - I was wondering that about Emma, she must have been Ms Borchester or something, I also feel for Nick trying so hard with Wil all the time, I want to shove a pitch fork up his arse and shout get some PIZAZZ FFS!

Bless Pip and her efforts, but Bridge Farm is crumbling with or without her!

Yes Brenda's PR degree is f'ing useless, she needs real experience, says me who once had to advise on a crisis at a apple pie factory when a disgruntled employee but glass in them. Twas not fun at all.

Panzee · 31/08/2011 19:09

I know it's harsh but Pat and Tony's maudlin whining is really starting to grate. I almost wish they'd go under, only I'd have to listen to more mournfulness. :o

R4 · 31/08/2011 22:09

Never did like Pat. Cannot stand her at the moment. She was soooo full of herself and her dairy in the good times but now the shit has hit the icecream fan she is useless, clueless and selfpitying. All she can do is have a pop at people like Tom and Brenda, who are trying to be proactive, without having any ideas herself.
Her treatment of Clarrie was deplorable.

If I suggest that they drop the 'Bridge Farm' brand and re-name it something else, can I be awarded an MSc in Marketing from Borchester Uni? Pretty please.

RubberDuck · 31/08/2011 22:16

I've been screaming at the radio (oh okay, iPod - I download the podcast Grin) all WEEK that they should just bloody rebrand. Is there some obvious reason why they couldn't that I'm missing?!

Panzee · 31/08/2011 22:46

Because There's Just No Point. It Won't Work and You're Really Stupid For Trying. :o (that could have been Pat or Tony really)

karlmarxthespot · 31/08/2011 23:02

But we've spent ALL THESE YEARS building the bridge farm brand. And for what? For NOTHING. We might as well just cut our losses and get out now.

Anyway, I'm actually a bit worried that David isn't going to top himself, but Clarrie or Pat might.

Panzee · 31/08/2011 23:07

I'm still a little concerned that the environmental health people don't seem to be bothered about how Clarrie got E Coli. Unless they think she spontaneously spawned it?

RubberDuck · 01/09/2011 10:36

Yes, surely finding the original source of Clarrie's illness would be a priority for them too. And if she got it then other people must have caught it from the same source also?

Didn't like the Nick/Mia missing storyline on Tuesday. I felt jittery for ages after - memories of my own pre-schoolers doing a runner too still sharp in my mind!

karlmarxthespot · 01/09/2011 10:44

E coli 0157 originates from ruminant feacal matter. I'm sure I remember a scene where Clarrie and Eddies were discussing that perhaps she didn't wash her hands properly between doing his laundry and working at the dairy.

SDTGisAnEvilGenius · 01/09/2011 10:58

I don't listen to The Archers regularly, but have heard it often enough recently to be up to date with this particular story, and I have to say that I feel very sorry for Clarrie - she is feeling so guilty and unhappy at the moment.

Panzee · 01/09/2011 11:04

karlmarxthespot I remember that too! I wonder if EH have just dismissed it as "probably Eddie's pooey pants?" :o

R4 · 11/09/2011 20:32

jodevizes 30/07/11. Just another case of band wagon jumping. When is Brian going to open a 10,000 head dairy farm.

Top marks!
Aksherly, considering that the scriptwriters work about 6 weeks ahead it looks suspiciously like they used your idea.Grin
