Archers special Sunday 11:15 on Radio 7

Link ... It is a bit of a marathon ... it is on from 11:15 to 18:00 with David Archer as announcer between individual shows (dating from 1955 to 2002).

Sorry if it has been mentioned by someone else, but I only heard them mention it the other evening. Had been wondering what they would do since the 60th anniversary was today (and heard most of the programme at 10:30 this morning so will possibly use listen again if I am bored with other items on radio/TV in next few days).

I really hope they put this out as a podcast,as a fairly new fan I would love to hear old shows.

Do you use iPlayer ?

Just that all of these should be available through iPlayer (and possibly in Stereo).

Or if you have FreeSat or Freeview, or Sky, you might be able to get Radio 7 in stereo (DAB is in mono, unfortunately, as the later few hours will have been made in stereo), so you can probably record if you have a suitable box.

I have just checked and the first hour is on iPlayer, and in Stereo.

I was planning to record the audio off my DAB radio, just in case someone turns up in a few weeks (after being in hospital or something over New Year) and had missed it all...

I might be persuaded to record all the iPlayer versions as that would give stereo where possible... Might even cut it together to have "David" doing the links off DAB and the shows from iPlayer (I was still in bed when it started so have only in the last 30 minutes switched the DAB to Radio 7).
