After tonight's episode I think that David Archer might me the christmas murder victim.

The guy he was talking to about the stolen hay sounded very threatening and sinister. I think he'll come back to Brookfield, David will confront him and be killed. You heard it hear first folks. Grin

thank you - i had been mentally framing Jazzer for some reason.

can't wait for February. all our speculation will no doubt have been excessive!

Helens package was heavy though - a sterilizer isn't that chunky surely?

GrimmaTheNome · 17/12/2010 17:21

Oh - is that why they've broken Clarries wrist - so they can save her and sub in Vikkii to the Bridge Farm plague. (though after eating Joe's 'is it supposed to be grey' pastry she is surely immune to everything )

LadyBiscuit · 17/12/2010 17:29

I don't think it's going to be a member of Pat and Tony's family - after John was killed by the Fergie, they can't have another child die on them (though god knows Hellin would be my choice).

Perhaps Vikki (hearts over the Is) will drown in a vat of yoghurt? Or I like the Freddie burning down Lower Loxley and someone dying in the fire. Louis probably. Freddie will go to a young offenders institute, Nigel and Elizabeth's marriage will break down because it was all Nigel's fault, then Lizzie will decide she wants Brookfield back and have a heart attack because of the stress. Jill will blank her for ages because she told her that Freddie would crack up.

:)

Why won't Harry sing?

I suppose he's just going to turn out to be nervous about singing next to Fallon, that musical goddess, but I can't help thinking its suspicious.

Harry is a badger in disguise (actually two badgers, one balancing on the other's shoulders). That's why he dressed up as a vampire at Halloween (white face, black hair, see?). He has only come to the village to get revenge on David Archer, and to steal Helen's baby to bring up as a badger. Badgers can speak, and act, and ride a bike, and snog Fallon, but not sing.

Shaken to the Core: theory No 98216464

Phoebe is a naive nearly-teenager who has been given some new cool clothes by her mum. Phoebe is in an emotional state, with abandonment issues, and is craving love and attention. Phoebe has been given a laptop with connection to the big bad world of t'interweb but has not had lessons from Harry about people not being what they seem ... Shock

jodevizes · 18/12/2010 16:16

Don't forget all the while she will be laying one huge guilt trip on the poor mite. She/he will have to spend the whole of his life listening to the sacrifices she made to bring them into the world and raise them.

PMSL at GrendelsMum's 'two badgers' theory

I don't want poor Phoebe to have a bad time. I want Kate to suffer, though.

My money is on the events that SATIC being based at Lower Loxley. If there is a murder, it will be committed by someone wearing one of the highwaymen's cloaks Kenton brought down from the attic.

WhatSheSaid · 20/12/2010 00:01

I think an Archer is going to die. My money is on Ruth. Oh noooooooooooooo!

R4 · 20/12/2010 08:43

Latest theory. We have all been going for the standard soap script of Big Story = Disaster.
Ambridge runs (in certain people's headsHmm) on the Archers oppressing the Grundys. I vote for the Grundys winning the lottery - it will provide years of cringeworthy nouveau riche stories, and how will they relate to their old mates in the village when the Grundys are stinking rich and they are not? Imagine the boys fighting over the inheritance, too.
Definite Shaking To The Core potential there.

I reckon no one is going to die - there have been two deaths already and this is the Archers not Eastenders or Corrie!! However, if there was to be a dedding then Helen or Ruth or Pip or Vickie...... would be ok by me

LunarSeasonsGreetings · 20/12/2010 12:06

I can see Phoebe running off to try to join Kate in SA (having sold the expensive laptop for some cash in hand). Perhaps getting herself abducted in the process. Which sets the Tuckers against the Aldridges as they blame Kate, and opens up lots of ongoing storylines...

R4 · 20/12/2010 12:56

oooo arrrr, harlot. I thinks you may be wrong. Every'un knows that theze things cum in threes.

Ooops. This idea conflicts with my earlier happy post.Confused

WhatSheSaid · 20/12/2010 23:22

After listening to today's episode I'm hoping the big event will be Tony getting rid of Helen. Ungrateful wench.

JenaiMarrsTartanFoxCube · 21/12/2010 09:49

Lunar, that's a good theory.

scarletbegonia · 21/12/2010 10:15

Just catching up with last week's omnibus and two things stand out - the masked highwayman and the constant references to Crowthers which we've never heard of until the last couple of weeks and suddenly they are always off there.

I predict some kind of "accident" with a loaded gun at Lower Loxley.

JenaiMarrsTartanFoxCube · 21/12/2010 12:09

Look! On this thread !

TurkeyMartini has it. Lower Loxley is going to burn. And they won't be insured. They'll lose everything.

But, as R4 suggests, the Grundys are going to come into some money (Euromillions?). They might even buy Lower Loxley's burnt out shell, and rebuild it. They could become L&N's landlords Xmas Grin

GrendelsMum · 21/12/2010 13:14

That's a brilliant idea! Burn, Lower Loxley, Burn!

TurkeyMartini · 21/12/2010 14:34

Ooh yes, I had forgotten I posted that. I do think it's quite feasible. The levels of smugness at LL have been ramped up to an almost indecent extent recently -- life-changing disaster surely looms.

I do still think that the cloaks will be involved somehow though. Maybe it will be arson, and a mysterious figure in a highwayman's costume will be seen behaving suspiciously.

I don't know who would set light to LL though. Freddie, furious about excessive academic pressure? Xmas Grin

JenaiMarrsTartanFoxCube · 21/12/2010 15:06

I wonder how flammable the cloaks are. Surely a flamboyant swish is a becandled room would be a fire hazard!

AnyoneforTurps · 21/12/2010 23:44

Please let it be Susan.

That is all.

JenaiMarrsTartanFoxCube · 22/12/2010 14:23

After her vile yohurt and canape smuggery, I think I might have to agree with you, Turps.
