After tonight's episode I think that David Archer might me the christmas murder victim.

The guy he was talking to about the stolen hay sounded very threatening and sinister. I think he'll come back to Brookfield, David will confront him and be killed. You heard it hear first folks. Grin

Grendel I think if I were Helen's baby, being raised by badgers might be preferable to being raised by Helen! Grin

Oh I think Harry is too good, so maybe he'll murder someone. Or eventually marry Fallon and then turn out to be NPD (or have I been reading too much in relationships?).

Longstocking2 · 10/12/2010 22:08

They can't kill DAVID! Surely! They can't do that? He's like the fulcrum of the whole thing innit?

Tolalola · 12/12/2010 17:48

I think the victim might be Pip as well. There's just a bit too much talk and excitement about her 'future' at the mo. Never a good sign in Ambridge Grin.

I'll be slightly annoyed if it's her, though. I mean, granted, she's pretty irritating, but there must be at least 6 others who I'd rather see face the sharp end of a javelin.

Waste of a good murder to get rid of David or Pip, imo.

I am incoherent with Shock at this thread.

What flowerpot have I been hideing under NOT to know about this stuff?

I never watch Corrie, but I knew about the crash....

This isn't a wind up is it?

zisforzebra · 12/12/2010 22:57

cat apparently someone will be killed in Ambridge this christmas, not necessarily DA though. Grin

This rumour has been around for so long that I cannot recall how it started. Are we sure that a murder is what's coming? I mean I hope so (I'd pick Shula), but wasn't there a school of thought that said the stupid murder-mystery game at the village fête was all that was meant?

I think there was a radio trail about 'events that will shake Ambridge to its core' or some such wording, a couple of months ago. But even that I'm not sure about. Did I dream it?

TurkeyMartini · 12/12/2010 23:57

Having said all that: I do agree that if there is to be a murder, David has been set up as a likely victim. Maybe too obvious though. Red herring?

And still agree with other thread idea that the terrible events will be linked somehow to Lower Poxley. Too much foreshadowing, going on about amazing Xmas plans there.

HerBeatitude · 13/12/2010 00:06

If t's a murder, it wll be Will killing Ed.

catinthehat2 · 13/12/2010 09:29

I too would like Shula to go. But I've wanted that for a long time and it hasn't happened. Xmas Angry

Mortyfied · 13/12/2010 09:32

Murder in the Archers? Shock What on earth?

catinthehat2 · 13/12/2010 09:37

good, not just me then..Grin

ArcticRoll · 13/12/2010 12:45

Think it will be Ed/Will murder.

boogeek · 13/12/2010 12:50

Hopefully by some freak method that means they can simultaneously kill one another - a duel? Grin

GrendelsMum · 13/12/2010 13:23

I don't think it's necessarily a murder - but it's going to be a 'storyline that shakes Ambridge to the core', and it's going to happen in the special double-length 60th anniversary programme. Jan 2nd, I think it is.

Panzee · 14/12/2010 21:47

I was wondering if Pip was going to cause a massive car crash.

DuffyMoon · 15/12/2010 22:01

Hmmm - Linda said "this is going to be the best panto ever" I sense an onstage massacre

Tolalola · 15/12/2010 23:43

Shock Maybe Nathan Booth will come back and wreak his revenge!

R4 · 15/12/2010 23:48

Good point, tola. He seemed to accept his come-uppance a bit too easily and quietly.
So Ambridge will be shaken to the core by a non-speaker, er, speaking?Confused

Grin
DuffyMoon · 16/12/2010 07:25

and Sabrina - she of the silent pneumatic bosom Xmas Grin

tvaerialmagpiebin · 16/12/2010 09:16

I think it will be Willyum. He is getting progessively nastier and more controlling.

Maybe...... there will be an incident when they are killing the turkeys and instead of killing a turkey he goes for his Ed, then Emmer loses the baby, Clarrie breaks her other wrist, Joe has a heart attack and Eddie rugby tackles Willyum to the ground until Nic subdues hiim with a whack of her handbag.......

Nice kind of King Lear "everybody dies" ending.

boogeek · 16/12/2010 12:25

I think Harry is going to turn out to be Nasty - he is just too good to be true. He must marry Fallon then beat her (we haven't had any domestic violence recently I don't think?).
This probably won't happen in the next fortnight though so I am standing by the Wll/Ed theory. Lankyalto has it exactly right, I reckon :)

NigellaTufnel · 16/12/2010 15:55

There is even a new acronym - the event which will SATIC

Excellent

GrimmaTheNome · 16/12/2010 16:00

I'm not sure I can stand it. I was shocked enough when Helen ordered the venison instead of tuna salad the other evening.

heartsnflowers · 16/12/2010 16:03

heard a bit today--lots of attention on Pip-never a good sign.....
