Salteena, you're right - they're a very weird couple. It's not helped by Nigel's character having about as much depth as a puddle. He's written like a younger version of prince Charles but without the human side.

R4 · 01/09/2010 08:55

I used to like Nigel. He was a big, soppy, over-enthusiastic Laborador puppy. He is turning into a stuffed shirt.Sad

WhatSheSaid · 01/09/2010 09:10

They're going to have a high risk/amnio/baby with Down Syndrome storyline for Helen aren't they? After that last episode with long converation with Kirsty all about triple tests and probabilities and being prepared. Popular theory seems to be Helen will lose her baby and nick Emma's (who will probably look like an artichoke anyway).

WhatsWrongWithYou · 01/09/2010 13:32

Whatever happens, Helen's bound to go Off The Rails in some way.

A fragile emotional state seems to be her role in life.

jodevizes · 03/09/2010 19:26

I think Ruraidh still has an Irish accent is because he has only said about a hundred lines since he's been it. :)

As for Em, perhaps William in a fit of rage dumps some poison in her coffee, just after he shoots that guy at the Bull who is talking to whats her name.

It's official, I take great delight in HATING Helen. I now understand all the slagging off of Ruth I've read over the years. (Ruth doesn't annoy me in the slightest). But Helen ... I take great delight in thinking of horror stories in which she stars.. couldn't she have been found dead in the chiller cabinet having eaten all of the chiller log pages? Couldn't the scan reveal she's carrying a two-headed baby? Or maybe she'll find out the sperm donor is really her brother? Something truly ghastly, frankly, I will be happy with no less [grin[.

Bramshott · 05/09/2010 14:51

Was listening to Nigel & Lizzie prattling away on the omnibus this morning, and thinking "dear god, has the feminist revolution never hit Ambridge?!"

All this "I've been considering what you said and decided that Freddie and Lily won't be going away to school" "ooh thank you oh lord and master darling" bollocks. Surely in the real world (and I won't listen to ANYONE telling me that Ambridge is not the real world Grin!) decisions like where kids are educated are made together as a team?!

mummytime · 05/09/2010 15:22

Well I listened to it, and like the way they only get around to really thinking about this at the beginning of September. So have they still got to pay one or is it two terms fees for the school Freddy and Lily won't be going to?
And will they be able to get a school place at this short notice? Or will they end up being bused to the Sink school as no other State one has room? Or will it be a small Private school that goes bust at Easter?

Bramshott · 05/09/2010 15:25

Oh Lord, it won't be a state school will it Grin!

MaryAnnSingleton · 05/09/2010 15:25

Freddy and Lily aren't going to new school until next September

Bramshott · 05/09/2010 15:25

Oh Lord, it won't be a state school will it Grin?!

Bramshott · 05/09/2010 15:26

Oops Blush!

MaryAnnSingleton · 05/09/2010 15:27

i suspect a suitable private day school will be found -they won't be slumming it at the comp...

Does anyone else think that the speculative deal Matt did recently on some land is rather conveniently going to turn out to be the land that Brian needs for the access to his new cattle market?

smugmumofboys · 05/09/2010 21:42

Yes! And do you think that Ian will buy out Jolene at the Bull and turn it into a trendy gastropub?

He was banging on about it rather alot tonight.

traceybath · 05/09/2010 21:46

I found all the stuff about Helen and the triple-test very heavy handed and wondered if that may also be a big hint as to things going very wrong with her pregnancy/birth.

Will is soooo creepy at the moment.

Wish Brian would have an affair or something to lighten things up.

Ruth is irritating - did like her little wistful sight when Jill was talking about infatuation- oh yes Ruth, remember Sam . . .

Did anyone see the photos of the younger cast-members in the press this week? They look all wrong.

MaryAnnSingleton · 05/09/2010 23:01

I've linked to it tracey...see below

ragged · 06/09/2010 06:11

There's the Cathedral school in Felmingham that Phil wanted Pip to go to, that's where F+L will go to Oi Reckon...

seeker · 06/09/2010 15:41

Daniel goes to the Cathedral School, doesn't he?

OP posts:
MaryAnnSingleton · 06/09/2010 16:40

yes he does

Eskarina · 11/09/2010 08:25

Does last night's drivel about the roof needing repairing mean that they really will end up slumming it at the comp? Wouldn't Mummy Julia have made sure there was a trust fund for just this eventuality?
