I had a different (feeble) connection for purple once they were left. I had thought about the actual connection in passing but didn’t pursue it.

I'm in the same boat as you, @Peridot1. Even after getting purple by default I still couldn't really understand what the connection was! Took me ages thinking about it. And I had seen the so-called connection pretty much straight away when I started.
