We've always used Hiccup(s) here.
In fact, my DC as a toddler called them "Hippups" so that's actually what we have been saying in the family ever since for the last 10 years.

@SpecialSpaghettini Giving my age away there - my children are in their forties! And STAIR rather than STAIRS doesn't bother me because I would often tell the children to "go and sit on the bottom stair!" when they were naughty.
