Help! Need double buggy with a short wheelbase

Hello, am in desperate hope of what I fear is the impossible. We are planning to buy a flat which is on the second floor of a large building and has a lift, but the lift is tiny.
We measured up today and it practically only just let the single maclaren in with a little space left. There's really only a metre length to play with.
I measured the P&T and the total length is about 120 cm so that's out.
Are there any other double buggies (not side to side as lift too narrow) that aren't as long as P&T? Otherwise think will have to rethink purchase of flat completely.

Thanks! I think maybe the Britax might just squeeze in as it's 110 long when open. Lordy they're pricey though! Realised I've been spoilt with my cheapo Maclaren . Must check out ebay...

No I don't have it, but I've read good things about them and have seen them in the flesh. John Lewis sell them if you wanted to to play with one. How old are your DC?

At the moment 18 months and 15 weeks baking! But when DC2 born, DC 1 will be 2, so I need something suitable for newborns. Good call on JL.

TBH I think the seats are slightly small on the Icandy, and your then 2 year old will be too big for most tandem prams.

John Lewis also have the Baby Jogger City Select which is similar to the peach but larer seats, but might be too long. I'd say get thee to JL and have a good play with the two and measure them as well.

Th good thing about the two is that they mak decent single prams, the P&T doesn't.
