Maybe the bought them on cc and need the money to pay the bill?
Or, their partners have realised how much they've cost and insisted they sell them and buy something cheaper.
People bought them on the Mothercare 20% off sale and are now selling for a little profit?
Selling to buy the 2010 summer edition (sand seat and cream hood).
They may have lost their jobs and need the cash back (credit crunch and all that)?
I just can't imagine them not suiting needs unless the parent needs something off road?

I actually did see an advert where the woman said she had a thing about pushchairs bought one and her partner found out how much it cost and was making her sell it!
I have heard a few folk say they find it difficult to fold rear facing (not following instructions precisely if you ask me) and i suppose if that was me and i had to use forward facing all the time i'd probably change for a Maclaren instead.

Aren't there lots of dodgy people on GumTree? Sure heard of hoaxes/conmen pretending to sell Bugaboos before on there.

It seems three bee plus'es are being sold by the same vendor. I got in touch with them.

They claim they are ex-display models. (But in the ads they say different things)

They said something on the phone about there having been a mix-up between private/commercial ads. In fact they are NOT private ads but commercial.

This means they expect you to pay (by bank transfer) and then they will send you the Bee (postage included in price). You cannot pick it up or have a look at it first. You cannot pay by credit card. Gumtree advises always to do transactions face-to-face.

I said I'd buy it but only if we could pick it up (saving them the postage). They said they couldn't do that as the buggies would be shipped from their warehouse in Shrewsbury rather than being at the London address in the ads.

My DP is convinced it is a con. I'm not sure but could be. We're not buying. Best of luck if you do!

I'm sorry but that is screaming CON at me.
I noticed a woman on preloved selling a quinny buzz she had allegedly bought in May this year - look closely and the buggy in the pic is the 2008 model not the 2009/10 one. Look even more closely, and she has about 5 adverts for different buzz pushchairs, all apparently bought in May this year....... very dodgy

Gosh, steer clear, sounds a huge con!
We advertised a telly on gumtree, only response we got was from a man claiming to be a medical student in finland, who insisted he was going to purchase, pay by paypal and an extra £120 for us to ship to africa for him.
We said no thanks!
I believe he'd have made a claim back through paypal and thought it just too odd!
