Zip-on Bugaboo handlebar covers?

I've just received a pair of zip-on Bugaboo handle bar foam covers from Bugaboo but I cannot seem to fit them on -has anyone had any luck with this and how did you do it? There's around a 1 inch gap between both sides of the zip and I just can't stretch it round. Help please

why have you got them? to replace the foamy stuff?

Yes there was a small nick in one of the handle bar covers and I had been advised by Buggy pit stop that Bugaboo had recently started doing zip on replacement foam handles

oooo mine is the same state

how much were they?

maxiewaxie · 28/06/2010 19:27

They are free but as it seems impossible to get them on I wish I hadn't bothered as now I have handlebars with no foam on at all.
I have written today to Bugaboo to ask for help so hopefully I will hear tomorrow.

How did you get them free?

Please tell me - as mine are split, and my baby is due in December

maxiewaxie · 28/06/2010 19:51

Just contacted Bugaboo and they sent them for free.

If you register your bugaboo with the seriel number online you get all sorts of things like this. Has to be within it's two year warranty though. I had a spare strap for my board, spare plastic inserts to suport the carrycot and lots of other things I can't remember now
