goodness 5in was thinking about you as soon as first heard it on the news. Scary stuff. I hope they do too!

horsemadgal · 05/07/2010 19:20

That's a bit off Nicola, selling something you bought here for profit. Didn't roastedfox have dibs? Not in the spirit of Mumsnet as I'm sure you have told others.

FlyMeToDunoon · 05/07/2010 19:49

Think buying and selling on here for profit is off but on ebay if the item is not suitable for whatever reason then that's fine.

Anyways, Nicola do you have Tom in a car seat at all?
Tate?
I am humming and hawing about DDs car seats and boosters. They very rarely are in a car and it's grandma's if anyones so am reluctant to spend ££££ but obviously want to protect them as much as poss.

maxybrown · 05/07/2010 19:58

Hmm, Dunoon driver can get fined if children not in appropriate car seat. I would be too worried myself after having been in an accident that was not our fault at all, someone passed out at the wheel and went straight into us - DS was 4 weeks old and it was sickening. I am still terrible on long journeys. Sorry have a bit of a thing about cars Your eldest would prob be beyond anything though would she?

nicolamumof3 · 05/07/2010 20:25

Tom just not long ago reached the height restriction so came out of his booster seat.

Tate in HBB its maxi cosi rodi one nice but i miss recline still that you get on baby seat but he was too heavy.

Luka still in Priori.

HMG had my reasons for listing on ebay but don't want to cause a huge hoo haa, so if roasted wants it then email me.

5inthebed · 05/07/2010 20:38

Maxy, been looking on Ebay and this is the only cheap 3 wheeler near me.

5inthebed · 05/07/2010 20:41

Nicola, how did you find the Luna mix? I quite fancy one.

nicolamumof3 · 05/07/2010 20:57

loved my luna mix 5in, you didn't like luna tho? and they aren't that diff? maybe better for you now ds3 is bigger tho? i like the denim. Check if harness is fixed i've heard they are now as personally don't like floating harness.

5inthebed · 05/07/2010 20:59

I liked Luna, just didn't like how easy it toppled with a little baby in. Quite fancy the three wheeler one, love the London hood. Might just buy cheap off Ebay to try out, although shouldn't as moving. They're selling quite cheap on there.

Divatheshopaholic · 05/07/2010 21:02

Maxy, there is Quinny 3 wheeler in blue locally advertised for 50pounds.
But i must say buying and selling buggy does my head in. I was really stressed out when i sold Bob,also i havent used it at all, i still sold it for less money than i bought( i was hoping to sell it for what i bought for)even with extras that did not come with it. But i think people expect you to sell cheaper than you bought no matter you used it or abused it.I did say a bit more, as people haggled my MB cheaper than i asked. I was upset and i left board for good while.
If bought XT from here for bargain price and got dibs after it then its not worth ebaying.
We all know you are lovely person, and we know that roasted is geniune. Just ask dibs in case you want XT again Sorry, hope you dont get offended

roastedfox · 05/07/2010 21:04

horsemadgal thanx very few have actually seemed to acknowledge this and if they have then they have not wanted to say anything due to who it is.
if it was anyone else (again within reason of who it is) then something would have been said.
nicola as much as i would love the xt i'll pass as i think you are taking the i feel like you have gone out of your way to not offer the buggy to me as clearly you just wanted to put it on ebay and make money. you even said to me that the buyer had already paid for it thats all i have to say on the matter and i hope we can move forward.

nicolamumof3 · 05/07/2010 21:17

as i said i didn't want to go into it all. I am sorry if i have offended you roasted you know i wouldn't intentionally do that. I spent time and effort in cleaning this up. I am too tired and too fed up for an argument to be honest. I will take a break for a while.

roastedfox · 05/07/2010 21:29

nicola it is not my intention to run you off mn and i'm sorry if thats the way it has come across.

Divatheshopaholic · 05/07/2010 21:44

Nicola, i did not mean you should leave here. What i said is from my own experience. Is it worth all hassle? At least people telling you here not talking behind you You make your own judgement. I did felt like Roasted is getting when ever she brought it up.

maxybrown · 05/07/2010 21:53

Diva thanks for that, and 5in - am hoping I might get Jans MB, we will see though! I have just emailed you by the way - not chatted for ages looking forward to Thursday. Roasted I have put your tops in a special place so i don't forget them lol!

Nicola, you don't have to leave at all. people say what they need to say and move on surely? Best people get it out in the open than have bad feelings? And type always comes across as bad - so much easier face to face eh but doesn't need to be an argument...eh? Or am I being the diplomat??

I don;t easily get offended - you can all tell me to bugger of if you like - but i won't hehehe.

skyeplusbump · 05/07/2010 22:04

hello!
just after opinions on the ne baby jogger city select, i have a 23 month dd and ds is due early september...need a double,i already have a phil and teds e3 (v.cheap second hand) but i like the way you can move the seats around on the bjcs,so baby's can face you or each other etc...anyone have any opinions on this?
also, if i do get it...should i buy the carrycot or a carseat?!

FlyMeToDunoon · 05/07/2010 22:09

Surely not a big deal or am I missing something?

Maxy it all depends on what is considered appropriate for age in car seats as technically DDs 2 and 3 can be in simple booster seats but those are not as safe.
Safest is supposed to be rear facing up to age of 4 but that is very pricey and I wouldn't consider it necessary for 3 or 4 journeys a year.
I am thinking that DD2 should get a HBB and DD3 should stay in her Britax Eclipse until she is too heavy or tall and then get her another HBB.

evening

5inthbed hope your little man is on the mend even with that big egg on his head

Basl I'm so glad dd had a lovely birthday and hope you all have a lovely break .

Maxy so sorry stooopid DHL did not turn up until so late, I should've used parcelforce, I'm sorry.

Tricky one the other. I am now on the other pram board, for me mostly for the pram chat but also so that if I buy something on here I know I am not being the 'free ebay' from there to here. We've all said what ebay is there for, if you get a bargain here and either don't want it, don't like it or spot a good buy to sell on then ebay is the place. However just be honest.

I've bought Maxy's volo, I prob will sell it on ebay in a month or so if I can get my hands on the new zapp extra. I will prob sell for what I paid for it or less plus then fees. I won't sell my apples quest on here as I need to make some money on it so when I can bring myself to do it ebay is where it will go.

We all like to make a wee bit if we can to even up on all those things we lose on. I guess I do not care enough to try to make an extra ten/twenty/whatever profit. It's fun and great if I do but hey if I don't want it I am pleased to get it out of my house so I can go for then next thing on my list.

I am sorry I should have also spoken up when Bexie mentioned the xt a few days ago, I did not want to ruffle feathers or upset anyone and Roastedfox I am sorry that I did not speak up.

Thank you and goodnight.

FlyMeToDunoon · 05/07/2010 22:19

I bought this today for DD3. She is a horse freak and I thought it was bargain. Saving it for her birthday.

OP posts:
maxybrown · 05/07/2010 22:27

don't be daft - I had a parcel too!! not your fault

You can sell my volo for whatever you choose my dear - I am past caring about anything anymore!! I mean that in the nicest way btw! I have forgotten about the volo already!! After all that crap with somewhereovertherainbow I really don't care about things I sell etc (in a care free way) but after reading back on it all then it does seem roasted was avoided.....and I think that was the issue? Or am I wrong? Again? lol.

Ok cards on the table (prob talking to myself now as I often do)

nicola bought it cheap from here and roasted wanted it at same time but missed out so asked for dibs

For whatever reason Nicola decided to sell on on ebay.....roasted asked but got ignored, everyone else dusted over it and now roasted bit miffed especially seeing as it is back on ebay? So feels a bit cheated - mainly because she asked for dibs in the first place?

But people need to be able to say what they think without being flamed for it - especailly when a misjustice is done. Like I am doing now - but it doesn't mean I hate nicola or anything at all - and if we can't say it in our group - then where can we say it? Best to hold your hands up - no need for anyone to clear off whatsoever.

roastedfox · 05/07/2010 22:40

well said maxy!
and thanx ladies
nicola i hope you hang about, i think you give a lot to this board, no hard feelings on my part

horsemadgal · 05/07/2010 22:46

Yep that's the jist of it maxy. No hard feelings from me either, all best out in the open.

sal1309 · 05/07/2010 22:55

evening all hope your all well.

well its been busy on here again.

maxy did you get a 3 wheeler?

well not much happening my end just busy busy as usual lol

lillypie · 05/07/2010 23:07

dunoon I have just bought DD one of THESE

I have been completely oblivious to the other situation so will decline an opinion.

I hope that nicola will stay and everyone will "just keep swimming"

5inthebed · 06/07/2010 08:04

Well I must have missed the whole XT thing as I can't see what the problem is . From what I see Nicola bought it, didn't like it so decided to sell for profit on Ebay. She wasn't selling on here for profit, she knows better than that . And it is up to her who she sells it to nd for what, it is her pram after all!

I am shattered, awake most of the night with police helicopter flying all over the place and sirens blaring. All go in Newcastle!
