hi guys. dd is gonna be 19mnths wen bump is born. What do you all think of p&ts. We walk eveywhere and wil be spendding a fair amount of time in the pram, good and bad comment appriciated.

I love my P&T and want to marry it.
(we have an 18 month age gap between the first two so it was essential for a while but it is still getting a shameful amount of use with 3 yo ds1 and 8 month old ds2).

we have a p and t side by side 'classic twin', rather than the in line one. its brilliant, much easier to manouevere (sp?) than our single pram and never had a doorway it didnt fit thru. But it weighs a ton to lift into the car. But it feels v light when pushing.
We went for side by side as there was no way DS would have been happy to sit underneath and as he couldnt walk when DD was born, he was spending a fair bit of time in the pram then. We're in London and the only shop i could find that had one on the shop floor to try out was a shop called peppermint in kingston.

I love mine as well, though I only used it as a double for a short time. I don't drive so walk everywhere too.

Cons: I don't think it's particularly bus-friendly. I tend to use a lightweight one if I'm on public transport - but, as mentioned, I only need a single. Also I wouldn't fancy folding it on a daily basis to stick in a boot as it's pretty awkward and heavy. Mines an old E3 so they might have improved that element, I guess.

Would recommend the panniers for carrying shopping - the basket underneath is rubbish.

I had one, I liked, it but plenty of people don't!

Major plus points: is only the size of a single, light to push even on bumpy surfaces, well built(no plastic), converts to single, folds down well. Unlike most doubles you need never push an empty seat.

Downside - looks weird, punctures, quite heavy (only used with car not bus) shopping basket looks pathetic next to one of these but then is solid enough to be festooned with bags. No sunshade/hood for lower seat. No cosytoes as standard.

hi all thanks, i have found a sunshade that fit lower seat. what is their double i havent seen one.

their double one side by side is called a 'classic twin'- i have never seen another one....not sure why....but its totally brill, only reservation is that its v heavy to get into the car, and you'd never get on a bus. Its v v easy to push, even with one hand. sorry, i would do a link to a web pic but not sure how and too tired to work it out! our DS was 20 months when DD born and he totally loves sitting next to her. the shop peppermint sells them (or did last yr anyway) and had pics on their website.

it has a big basket undernneath, but is a pain in the a* to fold.

I would totally recommend.

My P&T saved my life. (well sanity anyway)I had a 2yar 3 months gap, and DS was still having rides to reception in it (although he inisted on jumping out before we got close to school so no one saw him).

I love it, i do use it as a single and a double on public transport - bus/train with no hassle.

Agree the basket is for feet and very light things, heavy things ride easily in the front footwell and the panniers tho make it wider are huge.
