double buggy for child over 15kg

Hi pushchair fans, hope you can help me. I am looking for a double buggy that will do a newborn (so lie flat) and a child weighing 16.6kg. A buggy board is not an option as I am short and kick the back of the McLaren as I walk sometimes as it is. I've also ruled out the buggypod which I have but am trying to return as it's Totally Useless!

So, my research has shown up the Phil & Teds as being ok up to 20kg with the double kit on the front. However, does anyone use anything else with a child over 15kg and it's ok? P&T's are somewhat expensive, even second hand!

TIA.

oh, sorry - I was coming on to say P&T

FWIW, it was brilliant for us.

dd1 was 3ish when we got it, and she is a big girl - she was easily 18kg at that point.

Stopped using it about 3 months ago - dd1 was 5.4ish, dd2 just under 3.

It's a real workhorse - ours still going strong despite the years of hard work.

We used our doubles kit on the P&T (we have the Vibe) when DS was just 3 and am pretty sure he was over 15kg.

We love it...

I had 40kg's of 4 and 6 year old in a phil and teds and it was fine.
I've bought a mountain buggy in anticipation of an elephant child this time and I just hope it's up to the standard set by the P&T (i fancied a change).

I have a MB and it is fantastic now with DD1 at 15kg ish and DD2 at 10kg ish. They are expensive new but i got mine (with 2 carrycots) for £200 on ebay

the mountain buggy is fab, my five year old still fits in it, its also great with wildly different weights on either side, pushes like a dream. e-bay is great for bargains

So glad to hear other people have kids over 4 who still use the buggy! DS1 is good at walking but too slow for me and can't go as far as I'd like. I've got a few P&Ts and MBs on watch on eBay now...

P&T is good. 3.6 yo DS is over 15kg and he now sits in the back and hops out for a toddle every so often. DD is 21mo and sits in the front.

My failing as a parent is being intolerant of slow walking toddlers . We'll keep it until next summer before he starts school then he has to walk all the time, I'm dreading it TBH as I walk fast.

I have a phil and Ted but my toddler (not yet 3) is too big for me to get the rain cover on with a newborn so have gone for a out n about nipper 360 double
