Pushchairs

Holidays: Shall i pimp my bee for the sun or buy something new?

I have a black 09 bee that I truly love

It pushes nice, looks great, folds easily and is fairly light. Plus DS(6months) faces me.

If I take it on holiday I will need a liner to protect it from suncream and a parasol.

Shall I take my beloved and pimp it up a bit for the sun?

Or shall I buy something new?

Not a lover of umbrella fold or rattly pushchairs so any recommendations would be great.

Thanks.

You will still need liners at home or on hols, so I'd opt for those and a good sunshade rather than a parasol. Don't Bugaboo do sunshades for the bee? Surely worth the investment.

Yes they have the silver one. It doesn't cost much more than the parasol but I don't want ds to feel secluded and ignored I can see him and interact with a parasol.

You will need to be extra vigilant with a parasol, then. I 've seen so many babies with their legs sticking out totally exposed to the sun. A parasol is never in the right place whenever you change the pushchair direction. Ds won't feel ignored when he is asleep!

I think i can get decent sun cover from the big hood and parasol.

I am rather obsessive about sun protection tbh

Can you recommend any nice liners that are easily washable?

I would pimp your bee - get your order in before they shut for the hols at Snunkie - loads of fabrics to choose from - they can even make you a hood - for only the price of a "bugaboo" hood - and you can get it lined in a different fabric than the outer too.

I wouldn't be buying a cheaper buggy - when you have a bee as you'll miss your bee on holiday (what with the bee being so light - and good quality and lovely to use).

The bee sunshades were going quite cheap for the 09 version on the web. You could get an
09 Breezy - they have more windows - so you should see baby well - and then get a funky custom liner and strap pads made for the seat.
