Holiday with twins - double stroller or 2 singles?

We're going to Germany with our 10 month old DTs soon, and I don't know whether to buy 2 cheap lightweight strollers, or one lightweight double. Both DH and I will be there to push, so 2 singles aren't a problem.

Any advice/recommendations please? Don't want to spend a fortune, as they'll only be for occasional use?

who is pushing the luggage trolley at the airport?

Ooh, hadn't thought of that! We both have 'wheely' suitcases, so would either need a lightweight double, or singles we can push one handed!

We took two singles, that way we could go separate ways when necessary. But ours were a bit older, 18 months, and sometimes one would need more sleep and then we could take the other one out first iyswim.

The two singles also fit more easily in the car!! which was a big factor too

What about 2 singles but also a sling/back carrier so that if one of you needed to take both babies somewhere it was an option.

You can get connectors for two single buggies which might work for you in the airport? I'd go for 2 singles, they'll come in useful in the long run, I use my XT quite a lot when I manage to have 1 twin for a few hours. Easier to get around than a double.
I'd go for mac quests, should be plenty on here. Lightweight, decent wheels, recline nicely, easy to fold.

Thanks! We've got a carrier but neither of them like it much, but it would at least work through the airport to leave a free hand for luggage pushing.

I'll look for Quests, hopefully I can find a couple of bargains on here/ebay, thanks!
