Bee with Buggy Board - discovered potential problem!

Hi, i've got a Bugaboo Bee (old style not Bee plus) and just attached a Lascal buggy board maxi. My 20 dd seems excited to get on it and can just about see over the top...but it was really to use when ds pops out in 3 and half months, then we have the options of sling push and stand.
So now I'm wondering if anyone else has tried putting the seat flat and having a child on the board??? There really isn't any way to stand! The seat sticks out into the chest of the child!
Should it be reattached in a position further away from the buggy to allow more room or will that compromise balance etc? The website states it should be attached on 3rd hole...
Any experiences?
Cheers!

Which way have you got the seat facing?

I can't have DS on his board if DD is facing forwards and laid back in my Sola but I can if she is rearward facing as it's just the back rest that moves.
