Best pram for a small car?

I suspect that this topic has been asked before loads .. but here we go. I have a 2009 (new model) Ford Fiesta. We bought a Stokke Xplory thinking that it would fit in my car, but it doesn't. That was an expensive mistake! Now looking to find something that will fit. Ideally I'd like the new pram/pushchair to be compatable with a Maxi Cosi Cabriofix car seat, and I'd like a carrycot as well as the pushchair unit. Does anyone have any recommendations? I know that some prams can be made to fit into small car boots by removing wheels etc, but I'd like something that doesn't take 3 hours and need a degree in engineering to collapse. Not asking much am I? Thanks

I had just the same requirements. I ended up buying an icandy cherry. See here
It folds down quite small, is much lighter than many equivalent pram/stroller/travel systems and you can buy a carrycot to go on it plus it fits the maxi cosi car seat. Also, the seat unit can face parent or the big, wide world. What more could you want? At tmbdirect (swindon) it cost £400 for the pushchair and carrycot. I checked a few other places and they seemed to be slightly more. They do have some on ebay but I think that the older models had a few minor probs which have now been ironed out.

I haven't got the baby to go in my Cherry yet but I do love it already... and I'm v. fussy about this sort of thing! Hope this helps!

I was going to say the iCandy Cherry too. I had this for dd1 and loved it. Could get the chassis in my boot (Peugeot 206) along with the carrycot and still have a bit of space for a couple of bags.
