Bugaboo Bee Plus is the best!

I watched this topic of push chairs for ages and debated for so many months while pregnant... So I feel the need to state how happy i am with my purchase of the bee...

I just wanted to put out there that I love love love my bugaboo bee plus. It is the best for city girls like me.
It is so light weight. I can fold it so easily, carry it, get in and out of the boot, the buses...and baby seems so cozy and comfortable and it faces both ways...
Its easy to push and turn, the brakes work amazingly and they have made the seat as big as mcclaren so when baby is older she will fit just fine.

If you want light and easy this is the best buggy!

Hi Can I ask a Q is there any side protection? They look quite open on the sides so not sure if it's safe and comfortable for a baby.

I am not sure what you mean by side protection. You must get the 'cocoon' which is a cozy moses basket shape thing that has a head cushion... when baby is strapped into this she is very safe and comfortable in my opinion.

Hi, I read feedback from some people who's 8 month old baby was already getting too tall for it - ie the baby's head was touching the canopy so you couldn't use it with the hood up. I'm really tall and my DH is even taller so that was enough to put me off - do you really think it'll last your baby through to say 3 years?

that would be the old bee, which was very small. I had one for DD when she was 18 months old, and it was a bit cosy then. She is almost 4 now and still has about an inch to grow before she touches the hood on the bee plus.

mine just arrived faddle _ i'm in luuurve! Having a thorough test drive about the house before I take it out. Just in case. I'm keeping it though. Need Dcs to wake up so I can put them in it!!!!!!

mine has arrived and I love it, it isn't perfect and is overpriced but it is great, it does everything I want it too. Not as flat as I'd like for my newborn but he looks cosy in the nest/cocoon and it is flat enough . 2.5yr old has miles to go before she hits the hood, she is small granted but confident that rather large ds won't have problems when he's a toddler. It is a bit stiff to fold/unfold, is that just cos its new? Also like the maxi-cosi car seat I got for it, better than my graco one. Loving my bee

Also - does anyone know how many cm's wider and taller the bee+ seat is?

guessing ebay for the old bee. Got my new one from pram world for 612 - pram, hood, maxi-cosi seat and adaptors, footmuff. They do packages, worth ringing to ask prices. They were very helpful and quick delivery. I don't know seat sizes but if you look on mothercare website or similar you should be able to compare the two

my dc is nearly 2 - so would only want buggy and hood I think. I've been looking and for our needs the bee plus probably is a bit better - because the seat height goes taller - and dc should be able to see out of hood better - and apparently the handlebar height adjustment system is a bit firmer on the new model (not likely to slip).....

Not sure if I dare "go for it" unseen...

Wondering if it will work really well with heavy child rear facing - anyone got any experience of this - or should I be looking at a more "heavy duty" air tyres pram?

I like that the bee is so compact though - especially with space being at a premium at home.

I saw a mum push hers over the cobbles at school today - it seemed a lot more sturdy than I had anticipated - seeing that it didn't "flinch" at this apparently "rough" use!! (with a 4y old onboard too!). I'm very tempted to ask the mum about her bee - but as I don't know her - I fear she'll think I'm a bit bonkers! LOL

my dd is 2.5 buy only little and she is fine in it. We haven't been for a walk with her in it yet , just the baby and her holding my hand.
I hadn't seen it before I bought it so checked the returns policy first and didn't take it outside til I was really sure I was keeping it.

Wouldn't think it would make a difference if heavy child forward/rear facing.

Its good about the 4yr old and the cobbles, it is sturdy I think, not had it on cobbles myself though! Talk to the mum, and ask her what she thinks and where she got it from. Sure she won't mind, maybe a little test drive and a look at it. I know what you mean about it feeling wierd though

Well, I had another look at the ladies bee today - it really does look fab - but I don't think it meets all my needs.
The MOST important feature to me - was parent facing - but other than that - I think my needs will be better met with an air tyre bigger pram - so I'm now wondering if I have the courage to ebay my beloved baby jogger city elite (lots of lovely little storage pockets - huge comfy seat and hood....for a Jane slalom R (which actually seem very good value now - having stared long and hard at the bee price!)
If I was more city based - I would have gone for the bee - but there's woodland and beaches all around us! Even the paths on our school run (hike) are quite poor - so I prefer a 3 wheeler.

Does it stay folded up as heard peopleto
complain that old bee doesn't stay shut? Also what is raincover like as old ones were flimsy ? And is it reasonably sturdy? The price is high enough that I think I would be majorly pissed off if wasn't able o take some wear and tear(have a
maclaren at moment which is still going strong after two years).

Well, i've managed to get a Mutsy 4 rider lite plus fun seat and deluxe seat for less than a bee. Obviously it's not so compact, but meets my needs and good value. Just ebaying my fleet to pay the bill now. Lol! At least i will have 1 that will suit all needs so more space in the cupboard.
Bee does look lovely. If only it were half the price.

Can't wait til tuesday now. V v excited. Will save the fun seat til ds's b-day in a couple of weeks. Just can't wait to have Ds facing me. Our walks are so long. Really feels anti social to not be able to chat!
Have sold one of my fleet on ebay already.

So UV sun canopy or matching parasol? This decision is a difficult one. On one hand I need the UV thingy for Australia, on the other, the parasol will match and doesn't require taking off/putting on the usual hood.

Loving my new bee but am not sure about that UV canopy.

Bearing in mind i've never been to Australia, both? Is there any reason both couldn't be fitted at once?

I'm thinking about buying the new bugaboo bee plus and have a question to mums that have one: how is the baby coccon/nest attached to the seat unit? Do u attach just the coccon to the seat unit or the baby as well? Becouse if u attach just the cocon than the baby will be uncomfortable touching the straps, but if u attach the newborn as well he will uncomfortable anyway... When u have a pram mode in other models, the newborn lies there flat not attached to anything so I'm a bit confused now... What do u think ladies?

I also love my bugaboo bee plus. We are travelling with our 6 week old baby very soon and was wondering whether we should get a transport bag. Do you know if the bugaboo bee plus fits in the 'old' transport bag which I can get second hand on e-bay?
