britax smart 3/4?

Hi anyone got a britax smart 4? Or 3? Any pros/cons? I am 20 weeks pregnant with 1st child and have been looking at this pram, I would get the carry cot for the 1st 5-6 months, and also buy the britax babysafe plus car seat to go with the pram. It seems to work out a couple hundred pound cheaper than the bugaboo cham and I would be interested to hear if people were happy with it or not. I live in the city and would be using the pram for city, some country walks and on and off the occasional bus. I drive a clio, so boot space not huge but ok.

I've got the britax smart 3 but not the carry cot or carseat (as I got it when my DS was 4/5 months old).

It's great for walks - very easy to steer etc and as it's parent facing I can bore DS to death by chatting to him. As he gets older, I can turn him to face out.

It's well made and feels quite sturdy.

Only problems - it's a bit difficult getting up and down high kerbs unless you've got the front wheel perfectly lined up. It's also wide so doesn't fit through narrow shop doors (so could be hard getting on a bus - I've not tried for that reason). Also it takes up most of the room in our car boot (ford focus).

Aside from that I'm really happy with it as I don't use public transport with it and don't go in many local shops really!
My neighbour has the bugaboo which looks tiny in comparison - I would have got that if I could afford it although my DS is quite big and tall so (I think) might have outgrown it quickly.

I have the Smart 4, but like the pp, no carseat/carrycot as bought when DS was a bit older. I wanted the 4 wheeler for extra stability, but tried the 3 wheeler in mothercare and it seemed fine.

Very robust pushchair. Pros:
Forward/rear facing
Easy to use brake
multi position handle (great for me and DP)
Adjustable back/calf rest
Hood is great with mesh lining to stop sun getting in baby's eyes
Large seat - tall 2.8 DD fits comfortably when necessary
Works well with buggy board (when considering no. 2!)

Cons:
Quite large - does fill the boot (Honda Jazz)
4 wheeler not quite so great on bumpy ground (3 may be better?)
Back wheels quite wide so occassionally have probs fitting in some narrower aisles in shops

Overall a great pushchair and I am very happy with it!
