Thanks Maxy, knew BCMJ had best reviews
so handy to know a 'real' person recommends

5inthebed · 14/05/2010 22:06

I was going to suggest BJCM, but they don;t sit perfectly upright. They are fantastic though.

If you want an upright pram, maclarens are great, and you can now buy bumper bars for them.

nicolamumof3 · 14/05/2010 22:07

isn't BJ seat slightly reclined tho too? i think the straightest back seats are on a stroller type like a maclaren? or a zapp is quite upright..but no bumpers?

maxybrown · 14/05/2010 22:07

I haven't got it - I have the baby jogger elite - but obviously much heavier (to lift) and air tyres etc, I love it, but seems to me baby jogger would fit those requirements

FlyMeToDunoon · 14/05/2010 22:08

The graco mosaic is a light stroller with bumper bar.
I always fancied one but never did.

yeah but nowhere near as reclined as zia - really slumped in those, DS hated his, but has never bothered in the baby jogger - Triumph drove him (and me) potty too

maxybrown · 14/05/2010 22:09

and tbh, most things would be better than zia!!

5inthebed · 14/05/2010 22:10

Graco mosaics are a nightmare to push. And the way the handles are, it's really awkward to bump up kurbs, you have to put your foot on the wheel part to do it. Horrible design for a pram IMO.

nicolamumof3 · 14/05/2010 22:11

no to graco!

carrielou2007 · 14/05/2010 22:14

stop lowering the tone with this Graco talk!!

5inthebed · 14/05/2010 22:16

lol Carrie

maxybrown · 14/05/2010 22:18

oooo hark at her with her Bugaboo

carrielou2007 · 14/05/2010 22:20

I loved my zia, how small it folded, the design, just hated using it as really awful!! Shame really. Shouldn't have said that about Graco really as never had one!! See tons of those awful huge plasticky brown and cream ones everywhere with car seats plonked on top. I mean why would you they are hideous??

BexieID · 14/05/2010 22:21

Toms first pram was a Graco!

BexieID · 14/05/2010 22:23

Here it is on ebay with a rather optimistic starting price of £30, lol.

nicolamumof3 · 14/05/2010 22:24

im with you carrielou..why on earth do people buy them? some of them are bloody expensive too..

carrielou2007 · 14/05/2010 22:26

ssh Bexie, someone might hear you

I'm terrible though, if I like something I don't care if it is the cheapest you can get (bit like my volo, one of my favs). Would you believe I've had some fab stuff from Primark amongst a lot of tat!!

BexieID · 14/05/2010 22:26

I used car seat on it with Tom .

BexieID · 14/05/2010 22:30

My mum said I could have any pram I wanted and I had seen a customer come in Tesco with a black one (that was £300 odd with all accesories). We got blue moon from toysrus and it cost £180. I thought it was the bees knees until I saw a lady with a Micralite at baby clinic.

If I had liked buggies with carrycots when I was pregnant with Tom, I would have got a Bugaboo as my brother worked in for John Lewis at the time and could have got 25% off!

If only I could go back in time!

carrielou2007 · 14/05/2010 22:31

My friend has one like that and has been really happy with it and it cost almost 300 pounds 300 pounds!!!!!

BexieID · 14/05/2010 22:32

Well today I bought a plum Mountain Buggy

horsemadgal · 14/05/2010 22:35

Single handed Gracos are totally underated. The lighter ones, used to be called Mirage.
HUGE basket, nice big hood, snack tray, perfect for shopping.
I had one briefly with DS1, only sold it as couldn't get the covers off to wash and they were v pale in colour.

nicolamumof3 · 14/05/2010 22:36

Thats what i mean they are soooo expensive too! i'd sooner have a mac xt for a newborn then a graco. And im a carrycot lover!

Did Americans invent the travel system because they drive every-bloody-where.

plum mountain buggy yummmmm!

horsemadgal · 14/05/2010 22:38

No they are cheap as chips
argos bargain

BexieID · 14/05/2010 22:39

Going to use Skate till Erin can sit up, then will use plum MB.
