Afternoon ladies. I was in bed for 9 last night .

Nicola, sounds really awful for you . Hope they manage to remove it without a scan/hospital appointment.

I love the apple liner Maxy, so pretty. Thats has to be my favourite mac fabric.

Divatheshopaholic · 19/05/2010 14:18

Hi all,

Afternoon, just back from a day out at Stirling Castle with h and the kids. Such a shame there is such a gap with my kids when we do something like that. Olivia was loving it and asking all sort of questions and really wanting to look at stuff while her little brother was trying to kill himself at every opportunity. There was teen tiny holes everywhere and steep hills he was running down at such a speed. Can you picture all the Americans standing listening about stories of William Wallace and Robert the Bruce then Daniel would run charging in and shout at the top of his voice as it would echo and then me running around like a loony trying to catch him. The looks you would not believe as if they think Brave Heart is so precious to them and not even bloody well true most of it.

I did love Stirling Castle and saw a little school day out and Olivia was all excited that she will be doing stuff like this when she goes to school. Very strange day out with H but managed to keep a smile on our face but i did want to give him a shove out one of the holes in the castle at one point .

Nicola that sounds Awful have you got some strong painkillers for that. When do you go back? What a shame and glad your DH there to look after you.

We took the bjcm to the Castle Doh what was i thinking. A volo would have been much more appropriate

basl · 19/05/2010 15:13

Maxy i meant to say James made light work of that apple he was eating. Good on him as he may not eat much but an apple a day keeps the doctor away we keep nagging Olivia and she can't be bothered.

maxybrown · 19/05/2010 15:31

basl - I love your stories!

A volo Diva? What happened to triumph? Confused now!

We've just got back from toddler group - James was awful, well he prob wasn't that bad, just a right grump and whingy grrrr. Glad to be home, have constant headache - think it is the weather, so opressive today.

Nicola stuff posted

basl · 19/05/2010 15:45

I did not know you went to toddler group Maxy? Great if they are in the mood and not so if having a bad day. I like toddler group i go to as the girls are all down to earth and like a good laugh.
I find the weather a bit muggy today too maxy and it makes me all hot and bothered and sorry to here your day has been opressive maxy [i had to look that work up in the dictionary] need to do that a bit more often.

maxybrown · 19/05/2010 15:56

I do but under duress. I chat to one very nice person there now - and her son will be at school with james which is nice, but they aren't very friendly there - have been to a few over the years but i have to say some of the women who attend grate on me the women who run it are lovely though. there is a childminder there, and her son is awful - he is at school half days but today he was just picking upa little dolls [ram and smashing it down on the floor and swinging it around the room - but she is oblivious, completely. He is really rude as well - I like to glare at him when i get the chance

Might help if i spelt it correctly too

basl · 19/05/2010 16:08

Maxy you have mail . My sister goes to the same toddler group as me but will not go if i don't. I have always been a chatter box but i am also a tad over sensitive (no way!!) and do get a bit put out when they take offensive if you have not been for a while. I remember how Nic told the story of that rude lady telling her how to look after her children at the group when there was no need and then you get the type you mention and the mums don't even bother. I do have to watch Daniel mind you as he likes to have a good old fight over the pushchairs but i do tell him.

5inthebed · 19/05/2010 16:24

I go to a toddler group nearly every day . DS3 loves socialising with other kids and I don't know anyone local to me who has dc the same age as him. Today we have been to "Green Starters" which is a gardening group. DS3 loves digging in the round and watering the plants. He gets really dirty though. Today he was soaked because he kept refilling watering can and pouring half of it down himself.

It's lovely and hot here today, wish we had a garden

Divatheshopaholic · 19/05/2010 16:31

Basl, im waiting for triumph from AD for the exchange of quest in June. I called MW and asked if they honour me 30off code and they said yes. So i have volo coming from MW. They called me and said delivery will be next week.

basl · 19/05/2010 16:33

5in daniel would love if i went to a toddler group everyday. His sister not so keen at getting dragged about with him but when she goes to school i am sure i will go to other things with him. He would love the gardening group and what a great idea. My mums is getting Daniel a wheel barrow and bits and pieces to keep at her house as she tells me he loves pottering in her green house. It's just me to be honest i can't face it sometimes and really is no excuse other than that. Need a kick up the butt and yet again 5in you inspire me. Hows the diet today?

nicolamumof3 · 19/05/2010 16:34

FlyMeToDunoon · 19/05/2010 18:02

Take it easy Nicola and hope you are better soon. Also hope that things go well with the removal later.
Great Stirling Castle story basl. Braveheart does make me cry though and when I saw it in the cinema, in England I leapt up when the English were beaten yelling 'YES!'
Toddler gardening group sounds so lovely. Especially when all mine do in my garden is dig up things they aren't meant to and generally Destroy.

basl · 19/05/2010 22:32

Well all quiet now so i will chat away to my self. Just after i spoke last i had a visit from my youngest nephew just in time for a dvd and popcorn. He told us he had to be at his grans for 7pm. It was such a nice night and Daniel had fallen asleep late after his battles at Stirling castle so i decided i would walk my nephew to his grans. Olivia wanted to come and she was well aware it was late so very excited. I wondered why they have been dropping in so often and then the penny dropped. My mum is away on holiday and they go to her everyday after school. Their other gran is lovely and they spent a lot of time with their other grandparents but i think they like going to my mums as it reminds them of my sister possibly. She is on holiday so next best thing i think is our house. So i decided to walk him to his grans house as i was a bit worried she would be a bit put out as they keep coming to mine.

If anyone wants to go for a drink or toilet break now is the time

So when we arrived his gran and grandad where so happy to see us. We all trooped into the house and they could not have been more welcoming. She apologized and said she hoped i did not think she was off loading them on to me because my mum was away but they just wanted to keep coming to mine. I told her that i loved them coming and to be honest gives me a little break as they play with the kids so well and i can get on with housework hghgmmmm MN. So all was well and guess what???? She offered me a glass of wait for it???

CAVA yes i have been wanting some of that since nicola and flyme talked about it so i said no of course i have to walk a good 30mins home with the kids and it is nearly 7.30 so go on then just a little one. I had three glasses. I giggled all the way home and Olivia loved being out late and daniel fast asleep in the bjcm never even awakened to get his pj's on. So i have loved not being at work tonigh and i did some house work too.H asked last time i washed windows and do you know i can't remember so they are gleaming now and my real wood floor spotless kids in bed and well if only things where that great all the time

THE END XXX

maxybrown · 19/05/2010 22:50

ah lovely basl, sounds lovely.

James still up had to pin him down to get calpol in him as just couldn't even talk to him, then cough cough cough......he had big sleep before though but couldn't wake him. had 3 mouthfuls of porridge for his dinner - think maybe his throat is bothering him, who knows!

Oh Basl, your lovely story still making me smile.
