Chunkle Munkle vs Snunkie vs Poshbugs
Tweetinat · 07/05/2010 14:20
I'm planning on buying some custom items for my Bee Plus - liner, footmuff and hood. Have seen quite a few custom bits but not sure if there's any different in quality/fit between these 3. Anyone have any comments or recommendations?
Cheers!

I love chunkle munkle and snunkie, I can't comment on poshbugs as I have never tried them.
Chunkle munkle is slightly cheaper but no less quality IMHO, I have several liners, hangtights etc by both, I have also used an eBay seller who is local to me kitt2003 she is fantastic and made me a beautiful hello kitty footmuff and bag for around £50!

Thanks for that and also for the recommendation on kitt2003 - have emailed her to see if she can do stuff for the bee plus

Have had Poshbugs, fab, very good quality but bit pricey, love Snunkie stuff too, wee bit cheaper than poshbugs very good quality. Have had a few people comment chunkle munkle times are getting a little out of hand (two month wait for a footmuff) but quality is very good. So basically, they are all great so just depends who has the designs you want the most!!

Thanks Carrie - I've tried Poshbugs but had no reply to emails Chunkle has said that she has bad morning sickness hence a 12week delay (!) so wondered if it was worth persevering with one of these or if Snunkie was just as good
Rockbird · 07/05/2010 17:48
Chunkle is pg? Fantastic news, I knew she was having IVF.
She's great, I have a fantastic Night Garden liner and footmuff that she made me from a duvet set. Have also used Snunkie and they're good too. Never used Poshbugs.
angelstar · 07/05/2010 18:21
Poshbugs is away at the moment on holiday atm, she will be back in a couple of weeks.
Tweetinat · 07/05/2010 20:04
Ah cheers for the updates and feedback. I still don't know who to go with! But impatience will probably win out so looks like Snunkie might get my order (prob. the first of many so may go for chunkle or poshbugs yet as I feel an addiction coming on!) lol.
faddle · 07/05/2010 21:07
I have a lurvely poshbugs hood for the bee plus if you want to see the fit.....
pics here
as Angelstar said she is sunning it in Florida at the moment but will be back in a couple of weeks. As soon as she is back my proper fabrics will have arrived for her to make me my special hood, and the pink star one will be up for sale, so if you like it and dont want to pay full price, it will be bargainous.....
snala · 07/05/2010 21:48
Snunkie all the way. Lucy is FAB and i was a PITA with my orders lately (kept changing my mind) but she just went with it. Snunkie also on facebook if your interested.
Have tried to contact poshbugs every month for the past 3 months or so but had nothing back .
Chunkle munkle also look great but as already mentioned she is pg and times are slow at the moment and I couldn't wait that long!!!
HTH happy shopping!
Tweetinat · 07/05/2010 22:50
love the hood faddle but I don't think my DH would be too impressed if I tried to push DS around in a pink hooded pram
Getting v impatient so will be placing an order soon!!
Rockbird · 08/05/2010 08:12
I was a PITA for Snunkie as well The fabric I wanted was out of stock everywhere, she ended up bidding on eBay for it!
Mind you I was a PITA for CM too and she was terrific.
faddle · 08/05/2010 11:12
LOL tweet... I did wonder if you had pink or blue when I was posting!
multimummy · 08/05/2010 12:24
I used snunkie they were fab and faster than estimated time. Lovely quality too.
Tweetinat · 08/05/2010 21:59
For those of you that provided your own fabric - how much did you need to buy? I sent a mail a couple of days ago to snunkie but still waiting a reply... but the fabric listing is ending soon on Etsy so want to buy asap!! TIA
Rockbird · 08/05/2010 22:01
Snunkie made me 2 liners, one for a Techno XT and another for a Silver Cross Pop and she ordered 2 yards. Is that any help?
Tweetinat · 08/05/2010 22:34
Oh fab thankyou! Was that two reversible ones? TIA!
Rockbird · 08/05/2010 23:51
Same material both sides, they were shaped to fit the seats so not reversible IYSWIM.
Tweetinat · 09/05/2010 09:48
So it sounds like they need approx .5yd per side. That helps loads - thanks
