I need help from the experts! Not sure what I need

DD is 7 months old and i need a decent buggy/stroller

it has to recline (fully if possible)

I would also like it to be lightweight and easy to fold as we go on the tube/bus etc

also rainhood would be good

Not strong preferences for colours/makes just want something that will last me a couple of years

We have a Take Off (which looks like it should be good but the seat doesn't recline and it is a PITA to collapse)

With our first DC we managed with a quinny zapp which i hated with a passion and won't use again

Maclaren.
they're are much cheaper similar strollers but none will last. none as easy to use, or nice to push. resale is good. Fabrics v.nice and fully removable for washing. Excellent quality and come with lifetime warranty should anything go wrong.

Depends on your height and your preference for weight? XT is nice esp in all black but is heavy and quite big folded. My favourite is quest and although not full lie back goes flat enough for a nap.

the quest looks nice but it is twice the price of this one

OBaby are good - I had one (gave it to XP when we split) not that one but very similar, (Atlas Sport - think it is literally just a different colour) good quality for the price and survived a lot of rough treatment, has been going about a year now and apart from being a bit grubby is good as new.

i think i may have to test DD in them both in RL

she needs to be able to recline a fair whack (this is the issue with the take off and quinny)

as i said there is alot of strollers that are cheaper..if you used both you would see what i mean

i did have an obaby v.briefly last year when my maclaren went awol in the post! i was v.pleasantly surprised but still the maclaren is nicer smoother push..nicer fold just feels smoother and better quality to me.

I have a maclaren XT which is getting on my nerves now. It lies flat & has a great hood that you can unzip to provide shade or cover if you suddenly get caught out in the rain but are lazy not too far from the car, can act as a temporary rain cover. Maclaren also have a good record - I have never known anyone who have had a problem/needed to get one fixed.

But the swivlle wheels drive me insane and as DS is now older (11 months) and sits up most of the time rather than reclined, the seat doesnt seem deep enough & the leg extender things on the seat never stay "up". It is also fairly heavy compared to other strollers.

I tried my friends silver cross pop the other day & the leg extender thingies are great although the recline isnt as deep. And it seemed much lighter. They also are cheaper than a maclaren.

My choice however (having the double version) would be a Baby Jogger City Mini.

I have the Maclaren Techno XT and it's a nice pushchair.

I has a good rain cover, sunshade and lies flat.

It is quite big when folded but I find it ok to put up and down and even only being 5' 2" tall it's ok for me to use.

am going to test a few out - DD is petite so we do need to check the strap adjustability as well as some of them, even on the tightest setting aren't secure enough
