Pushchair with large carrycot suitable for sleeping

I am 6ft and husband 6'1 so baby due end of june is bound to be large, don't want to spend money on a carrycot that will be grown out of in a month. I like the idea of going for lots of walks and bringing hopefully sleeping baby straight into house in carrycot. Any advice on which ones are larger? or sites which let you compare sizes?

bugaboo is 90cm long, icandy 89, quinny dreami (fits buzz 3/4 and speedi) is only 84. Cosatto are TINY at 73cm. Mamas and papas ultima not huge length wise, but are quite generous on width.
silver cross sleepover is pretty big from what I have seen too.

I had the Silver Cross Sleepover for dd2 and she slept in it til she started to pull herself up to sitting so she was around 6 months old I would say.

The handle on the Linear chassis is height adjustable too so would probably be suitable.
I am 5'2 so always had it in a low position.

Silver cross sleepover - can get on linear chassis (swivel) or classic - bouncy, I have had both I had mamas papas before that - this is wider than silver cross, bet def not as long.

i had the silver cross its great even when DD was 2.4 she still slept well in it (big girl for her age too,

You need what we have.

Britax Practicale carrycot pram. Baby slept in it indoors and out and was cosy. Once they were too big for it they went in the cot and then into a lightweight buggy.

No need for a moses basket.

I was gutted when we had to put it away after out last baby.

You may not be interested in this suggestion, but what about a pushchair which has a completely lie-flat, parent facing option (ie the main pushchair bit rather than a separate carrycot) I had one like this and used it without a carrycot from birth, DS was very comfy in it, and it meant that at about 4 months when he started to want to look around I could sit it up slightly when he was awake and recline it back to flat when he fell asleep, as he still slept a lot at that age.

Oh and I did used to wheel the entire pushchair into the house and still do now DS is 18 months, because he still sleeps in it. Bit of newspaper on muddy days saved the carpet, but TBH the mud hoovered out when dry anyway as long as I didn't leave it for days.

The SC is like that bertie it does not have a seperate carrycot like M&P - I loved it for that too, to be able to sit him up slightly.

We had the baby confort Windoo which both ds's slept really well in during the day and if we went away.

It's 90 cms long which is pretty good.

We have a Mutsy 4Rider Light and the carrycot is quite large, I'm not sure of the exact length of it though .
The seat unit is absolutely brilliant too (suitable from birth)! If you get a babysitter frame (rocker) you can pop the seat unit on it when you're back home without waking DC.
The handle extends very high, so no chance of you kicking the pram.
We're very happy with it, over a year on now . DS isn't even close to growing out of the seat, whereas some of my friends with bugaboos have their kids crammed into the bucket seat.

come to this a bit late.

i have an Inglesina Outtoto 2 in 1; essentially the seat unit adapts into a carry cot. I had a mattress made for it when dd3 was tiny. She is still happy in it at 2 and a half. It is parent facing ( just pick up the seat unit and plonk it on the other way round). As she got bigger, we just adapted it- took the mattress away at some point- but it has kind of evolved with her. Liked it because it can be parent facing with no age restriction ( the silvercross at the time was only parent facing up to 6 months or so)

not the cheapest option but not the most expensive by far, and you never see another one!

Another one with the Silver Cross Sleepover. As I just wrote on another thread, I bought the travel system for £440. DD is a toddler now and can still lie totally flat in it to sleep.

I absolutely love it and can't recommend more highly - and the after-sale, customer care from Silver Cross is second to none.

The silver cross can be rear facing for as long as you want them to be - the sleepover that is!!

2nd the windoo- which fits on bebe confort chasis's its good and long and can be used for overnight sleeping......
but if you're a walker you might want to consider a 3 wheeler/alll terrain option. Air tyres much better for pushing especialy when bubs is older... mountain buggy do a carrycot for the urban
