Problem with micralite fastfold 'collapsing'

i've noticed that even the slightest pressure on the footrest is casuing the folding mechanism to start. Can this be rectifid? Anyone else experienced thsis problem.

after reading the instructions it sounds faulty if the childs footrest is starting the folding sequence.

I've had this (I have the older version) and found if u tighten the connection on the wire that joins the lever at the back which makes the footrest spring open it stops this. Sorry if I'm not clear not sure how to describe it!

no i understand what you mean...i think!! will get it out and have another play bought secondhand and only just used it properly for first time. Thanks for the advice.
