We are going to Portugual with OH's parents in August... DD1 will be just 2 and DS1 will be about 4 months (due any day). I just can't decide what to take.... we have a Phil and teds sport so could take that... also have an icandy cherry which I love and loved clipping carseat to for DD for short trips (do have P&T car seat adaptor too!)... but then would have to decide if to take the seat unit (think DD started going in for short periods about 5 months though, but she hated the carry cot....) or the carry cot... which would be very useful for him to sleep in (if still fits in there!!) - if we take the icandy, the inlaws have a lay flat cheap stroller that can use for DD.... so what would you do?

just take p&t for them both, or take icandy for baby and lie flat stroller (or poss luna) for DD??

never traveled with little ones before... will also be taking sling of some description, poss 2 as still using connecta for DD and have a wrap which can use for baby when not too hot...

thoughts/ideas very very welcome!!

I would bring the phil & teds personally will you be needing car seats? If renting a car they hire deats too!

just worried that in the evenings etc both would be more likely to sleep if could lie flat... not sure though... pushing about won't be a problem as will be 4 adults!

If you take the Cherry then just to let you know I put DS in the seat unit (fully reclined) from 3 months - he too hated the carry cot. I had the cosy-toes in it though, which made it very snuggly. We never took it on holiday though - would be a little bit worried about both bits making it through baggage handling. However have seen lots of people take Bugaboos on flights, which are the same idea.

Sounds like the P&T might be a good option too

P&T, did it with DS 5 months, DD 2.5, only one pram plus the back seat and was perfect.

i wouldn't take anything other than a mega cheap buggy through without a proper travel bag tho tbh.

I wrote a similar post and few months back and the vast majority of responders advised that I take two singles and I have decided to do this. P&T's are great but not for holidays abroad I think. For one I would be worried about getting a puncture but mostly I don't like the fact that the 2nd seat doesn't recline enough for good sleeps. I also had the icandy Cherry and my dd started going in the seat from about 3 months when she outgrew the carrycot. She was perfectly comfortable but I used a liner for support.

One other thing, read somewhere else that if you take a pushchair with air tyres on a plane then you have to deflate the tyres. Is this true?
