Hoods - how to clean them??

I have a Bugaboo Bee and a Maclaren Volo, and both have stains in the hood folds where I keep snacks.

I think I can remove the Volo hood completely so that shouldn't be a problem to clean.

But what about the Bee? It's khaki and the stains are quite visible. I'm getting it ready for DS2 who is due in July - when the Bee's in its reclined newborn position the hood is completely on show. Don't want people thinking I'm a total scummer...

You can take the bee hood off.

You need to undo the buttons across the back of the pushchair,
Then look at the sides where the hood wires are attached to the pushchair.

You should see that there is little elastic loops, (right at the bottom) you need to detach these.

Then give the two wires on the same side a good yank, and they should come out of their holders.

Then detach the little elastic loops on the other side and the hood should be able to be pulled off.

Wash on 30, in the washing machine.

I think that is all correct, it is just from my memory

Fabulous! Thank you so much, that's really useful. I'll try it

Hi - I have a Maclaran Triumph which is really dirty - especially the hood. Does anyone know if there is anyway to take it apart to put in the washing machine/

I used biological washing powder and milton on mine.
