Is my toddler too big to fit into a Phil & Teds sport?

Hi all

Thinking about buying one of the above. My son is 15kg and will be more by the time baby number 2 comes along in June. Will my son be too big to fit in the front seat?

Ta!

He'll be over the weight limit for the seat that starts at the front whilst the newborn is laying flat (the one that then moves to the back for the newborn once a bit older).

I just had the same problem when researching pushchairs for my ds and my newborn (also due in June), so have pre-ordered a Baby Jogger City Select (launching in uk in june). That and the i-candy peach blossom (whose seats are very small) were the only options I could find that took more than 15kg.

Is a BuggyBoard (or similar) not an option? If your DS really needs to sit down, I did see some sit-down "buggyboards" on Kiddicare. They are pricey, but might be cheaper than a new double pram:

Kid-Sit

or

Buggypod

are you all sure that's over the weight limit, my ds1 is 15kg and was fine in that seat?
(not that i actually checked the weight limit b4 putting him in but really he was fine..)
it seems quite low to be the limit?

the weight limit is 15kg on the doubles seat but more on the main seat.
when i had my p&t,my daughter was about 17kg and she was fine in the doubles seat,
i think its more about their height too,my dd's head just touched the hood but the hood only needs to be forward if you are using the raincover,so that wasnt a problem for us.

i looked in the instruction book cos i just saw it lying around in kitchen and remembered this thread..

its 15kg only when you've put it in the doubles configuration, for the back seat but when its in baby and toddler mode with the newborn part @ the back there is only a limit of 40kg combined for both children, even tho they are on the double seat @ the front but its kind of with more support then when its sticking out the back, so probs can take more weight in that case

then its fine for ur ds, cos once you put it in doubles mode you just put the smaller/lighter/younger one in the back anyway, and your ds would b fine to continue @ the front til max weight of 25kg in the front and your LO okay in the back til 15kg
