iCandy Apple seat before 6 months?

Oh wise ones - what to do?!

We have the iCandy apple jogger and love it in the main as we have a dog and walk miles with it and DD (3.5 months) is very happy sleeping in the carrycot bit. However, I put her in a friends Loola Up when out in town recently (I only had sling with me) and realised how interested she is in what's going on, when she fell asleep I just reclined the seat. The iCandy says not to use the pushchair part until 6 months, as it does not recline flat and has a moulded seat. DD doesn't sleep well in her car seat so think she may not like the moulding to sleep in either. I don't really want to spend loads more money. Should we just use the Apple seat early or buy a cheap recling pushchair for occasions when it may be nap time? I really can't see the carrycot lasting anoth 3 months!

We have the apple jogger - I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with it tbh. DD was never very happy lying flat in the carrycot - to begin with she was too clingy and refluxy and then she got more nosy!

She was tiny so personally didn't feel comfortable putting her in the pushchair early. I used to prop her up a bit in the carry cot using a folded blanket and then shuffled her down when she fell asleep - I don't know if that's any help? I bought a harness to keep her safely in it once she was moving about a bit more.

If she's happy in the carrycot then I'd carry on as you are for now - perhaps use the sling when she'd rather be looking around than go to sleep?

You used to be able to buy wedge pillows for bucket type seats. Could be worth an eBay search or adding a wanted ad on here.
I hate the bucket seats for this very reason!
