Does Insurance Cover Pushchairs when going on Holidays?

Does anyone know if travel insurance will cover baby items, specifically my pram, when going on holiday? I know they get bashed about on the plane.

This will be the deciding factor on whether I take my bugaboo or buy a cheaper one to take

Thanks

afaik every insurance policy is different and you need to look at the amount for each baggage item. that's what i have always thought anyway-so i bought a maclaren tecno xt and a travel bag for it for travelling as i didn't want my big pram wrecked! luckily i had as last time i got it off the baggage reclaim the travel bag was ripped!

depends on the policy as nicm says

make sure you check the excess

I have a bee travel bag bought as I was going to the Uk for 2 months and needed the bee rather than a cheap buggy . It was safe and secure. Otherwise I would not put it in the hands of the baggage handlers ...not a hope!
