Cleaning Icandy carrycot/pushchair - please help!

Does anyone know whether you can wash the mattress part of the carry-cot? The instructions say that you can hand-wash the lining and cover but I'm not sure whether they mean that you can wash the mattress as well (as part of the lining)?

Also has anyone machine-washed these parts? Seems such a hassle to hand-wash when I could put on a cool delicates cycle.

I have washed the covers but not the mattress after a nasty projectile vomit incident. Think I only handwashed them though. I would be worried about the foam in the mattress getting all bunched. How about wiping it down with a mild vinegar solution and soap?

Thanks Lionstar. Have realised that the mattress cover is removable although you are probably right, might be best just to wipe over anyway. Ridiculous that anything baby related is hand-wash only grrr.
