Right i have bought myself a bugaboo frog and there are a few things id like to know

  1. do cam/gecko fabrics fit the frog ? have heard the hood fabric is baggy on a frog if you use cam hood fabrics ? has anyone used poshbugs for covers and can you get plain canvas aswell as patterened ?
  1. has anyone ever slimed their air tyres ?
  1. have heard of fabric reviving spray for m&p prams when the hoods have faded ,do you think this would work on a frog hood ? its black so quite noticeable ,not overly bothered ,but wondered if this might be a quick fix ?

ok thankyou for reading this and look forward to any helpful replies /suggestions

Cam hoods will be a bit bagby but ok, or buy cam hood rods and clamps and will be perfect fi. Poshbug are fab, she will pretty much do whatever you want. There is a seller withsome odd bits on ebay buy it now 35 I spotted the other day, can' do links search under bugboo covers - beautiful hoods, seat liners and aprons. Very very bargainous!

I've got the non-puncture tyres but know lots of people who have slimed tyres and worked really well.

No clue about spray, could you go in to Hobby craft or similar for advice??

Oops forgot Snunkie also do custom stuff very lovely.

so if i buy cam hood rods etc ,then i can buy cam fabrics ? so a cam carrycot would fit a frog and the fabrics would fit a frog frame ? is that right ?
Also are the maxicosi adaptors universal for the frog/cam/gecko ? i know they are different for a bee .

Don't think the carrycot fit, as the frame of the cam is bigger and loner also it has a solid bar underneath so you can take the seat off the chasis as use as a seat, you can't do that on the frog.

If you buy the fabrics they will fit but be a bit loose, but if you buy cam rods and clamps they fit on the side of the frog. Not sure on the adaptors think they are same for frog cam gecko?

A cam carrycot wouldn't fit no, it's longer than the frog frame. the MC adaptors will fit it
I'd really recommend Chunkle Munkle for your pimped bits over and above any of the other sellers mentioned here.

Do what to the tyres? Slime?

bumpsoon · 27/02/2010 17:13

yeah ,bike shops do it for you ,prevents flat tyres , it automatically seals any puncture, have to do it on the kids bikes due to being surrounded by hawthorn hedges

I can definitely recommend snunkie, I have just got back pushchair liners, maxi cosi covers, and a change bag and they are amazing. She is also quicker than chunkle munkle although her stuff is lovely too.

She can get you any fabric you like even if it is not stocked by her usual suppliers. Mine had to be imported from America.

Not sure about the spray but if it is faded anyway it might be worth a try as it would be a cheap fix if it works and you haven't lost anything if it doesn't.
