I have been looking at one of these for when my new baby arrives. I will also have a 17 month old. Does anyone have one are they any good?
Also I have read that you can use the cocoon with them probably a silly question but it looks like a footmuff can you use them in the summer- open up the top or something! (my baby is due in August)

Can't answer your p and t question but also have a look at the easy walker duo - I had a 22 month gap and it has been fab!

A friend of mine with twins has one and she loves it, used cocoons with it although I suspect too warm in August. You can unzip them but fleecy inside.
It's fairly narrow for a side by side, but quite heavy to lift in and out of car if you look at the weight. I think the easywalker has generally had better reviews, though not quite sure why. Also have a look at the nipper which is cheap to buy 2nd hand and light to lift but it's wider, or I've got the baby jogger city mini double which is very light and easy to fold, lies flat for newborns but doesn't have air tyres. You're prob only going to need it until your toddler is 2 1/2 - 3 so think of it as a temporary buy.

I've got one !!
Use it with my 2 1/2 year old and nine week old DD.
It is fab! Very narrow at 73cm (i believe even narrower than the umbrella fold side by sides, Maclaren etc) I've not had trouble getting through any shop doorways and it is so nice and easy to push...even in the snow recently pushing it one handed, just glided through.
Nice big basket underneath, turns on a dime. Baby looks very comfy and I love that I can see her when I'm pushing it through the plastic clear protector they provide. Toddler is also very comfy and will sit happily for quite long journeys.
Haven't got a cocoon, though. We were going to use one, but I have big, long babies so eventually decided not to as they grow out of them so quickly. I use a Wallaboo fotmuff instead in the newborn bit, it looks nice and cosy and will last her for ages.
