Keeping the sun off...

I'm not sure if I'm asking in the right place, but I dropped my pushchair out of the boot of the car and broke my parasol at the end of the summer...

I need to buy a new one to take on holiday this spring, but I was wondering whether to get a buggy sail or a sunshade instead.

Do they work better?

Ta!

get a kiddopotamus ray shade

they are bloody marvellous, no faffing about with moving parasol when you change direction.

great too for when your dc wants a nap, pull it all the way down and hey presto they are nicely cocooned.

love mine

yy, sunshade much better, parasols are a PITA.

I like the look of that rayshade because you can still see the baby/they can see you though, but able to pull it down (for less fiddling) when they fall asleep. Also I just used the pushchair shade last year, but it let the heat through (it has a plastic window in the back) and poor DS was really hot under there, it was quite stuffy. I ended up using the sling mostly.

another great thing about that rayshade is the protection if offers to legs on a very sunny day

Yes parasols are faffy aren't they? I'll get one of those recommended shades then

I got a great shade, Mountain Buggy shade you can pull down completely with sort of mesh for seeing out or you can tie it up and it makes a huge, almost like a big adjustable hat brim - very effective.
