Mamas and Papas Polkadot Travel System

Hi all

I am after some advice... I bought the travel system for my son 14 months ago, it cost us £700 but thought it was pretty and had the pram bit, puschair and car seat which all fitted on to the chassis

14 months down the line and 5 months into using the puschair bit and it seems to be falling apart!! Do I either need to get it serviced or is this just not right regardless of it being 14 months old??

The recline part on the pushchair has a handle mechanism which isnt working properly and sometimes doesnt want to work at all

When you put the puschair part onto the chassis on side clicks in to place but the other side doesnt so it doesnt hold on securely

The pushchair also has a floating harness but its not big enough.... when I put the cosy toes on (which is from mamas and papas and matches the pushchair) i have to take my son out of his coat, place him in the pushchair, put his coat back on then try my hardest to get the buckles on the harness to do up, plus they are back to front!!

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated as I honestly dont know and as it cost me so much was kind of hoping if I plan to have another baby I'll be able to use it

I don't know exactly how you stand legally but I think there is something in the Sale of Goods act about a reasonable length of time an item should last even if it is outside the 12 months guarantee period. Have a look on the Citizens Advice website.

I would go into the shop and ask them to show you how to use the harness with the footmuff. If they can't it might give you some ammunition for a complaint. I would try to demand a repair at the very least but you'll probably need to fight for it.

Good Luck.
