We don't go out for that many walks and DS isn't always keen to go in the pushchair, although he won't walk would rather be carried!!

What would you go for???

Not sure about doubles as I only have one, but have you thought about trying a Toddler Patapum (lightweight back carrier) for DS?

I'd go for a Phil and Teds, then it can always be used as a single. I have had mine for nearly 3 years, and am hoping it will last for dc3 arriving in July.

Dd1 went through phases of wanting to be in the pushchair and out. When she started preschool she got tired very quickly.

Thanks ladies. I looked at the Vibe, like it, just hate having to spend £500! Even on ebay they are going for £400. I think a back pack would kill me Bertie! Thanks anyway!

Another vote here for P&T - we had DD1 who was 27 mo when DD2 arrived. Is great as can be single or double - and has been fine in the snow this week (DD1 now 3.4 yo and put her in bottom when she got tired in the snow on way home from pre-school and it was even easier to push!)

We got it for £280 second hand on ebay but had to keep hunting and was pick up only - is a sport, not a vibe.

Had I known we were going to have two this close in age we would happily have paid the full price from the outset!

We bought our e3 classic for £200 on ebay, and it has been great (although we replaced all the tyres for something a bit tougher - but I walk everywhere, as i can't drive).

My friend bought a new one from Kiddicare, and was able to sell it 2 years later for about £250, so i think depending on the wear and tear they get they have pretty good resale value.

phil and teds are cheap in the mothercare sale £269ish for a single and use af9 to get an extra 10%off you can have sport, doubles kit and raincover delivered for £312.74 about what they sometimes go for secondhand on e-bay.

my p&t has paid for itself in the last few weeks, even before DC2 has arrived- my maclaren would have never got through this snow and ice. mothercare deal sounds v good, and as others have said, it is expensive but the resale price is so good you won't lose much money.

P&T Vibe or Dash, Britax B-Dual or Obaby Xi.
