Baby Jogger city elite double? (for newborn plus toddler)

Can anyone comment on experiences of the Baby Jogger City Elite double? I am trying to find a suitable double pushchair for when baby #2 arrives, at which time DD will be nearly two. We have been very happy with the Quinny Speedi for her, and we have the Maxi cosi car seat and carrycot accessories. I would basically love to find a "double" version of the Quinny speedi but they don't do one. The City elite seems the closest thing to this, and it can take the Quinny accessories which is a real bonus. I had a look at the video on the website and it seems to have some really good features.

The only drawback I can see are that it is very heavy - is it really 19kg? Also I was more keen on a tandem due to width issues, but what do people think about tandem vs side by side?

I realise the City mini double would be much lighter but we live in a rural area which is quite impossible to navigate with city type wheels.

Any comments positive / negative would be really helpful, or other options to meet these requirements which I might have missed.

Bump. Anyone used one at all? I suppose it's a bad sign if they are really unpopular or something.

I would go for the nipper over this as it is almost half the weight.
