transporting bug cam on a plane..

Is the only way by using one of their travelbags (these seem to be quite expensive) or has anyone got any alternative ideas that work out a bit cheaper?

the alternative is to take a cheap umbrella fold stroller

we ended up buying a maclaren techno and a travel bag for holidays. now i wish i'd just have hunted down a travel bag for our big pram. if i were you i would just invest in one of the bags and use your big pram. although when i was waiting on our buggy bag at the airport there were loads of seats of the quinny buzz flying down and wheels from bugaboos, all sorts of prams! so some people must fly with them not bagged?? i wouldn't though as our bag was ripped last time flying home.
