maclaren quest sport or techno XT?

I need to buy a buggy for occassional granny and holiday use. I have a bugaboo cameleon which I absolutely love but not great for flying or the grandparents as they struggle with putting it up and down.

Question - is it worth the extra £££s for the techno XT or is there not really rhat much difference between them?

I'd go for the quest if just for occasional use.

Techno XT has comfort pack (headrest and padded shoulder straps). Also extendable hood with UV filter sunshade which is why I went for that one - v. useful for the summer rather than fiddling with parasols. It has four backrest positions but you only really need the two - upright or 'flat'. It is a bit heavier and bulkier than the quest but has a handle. It is ok for public transport. I use this pram as my main pram.

ds2 had the xt and it was fab but if just for ocassional use the quest is great too.

I've got both and would say the xt is miles better. I sold my cam when dd was 2 and bought the black xt and have been very impressed with it, easy to push, lightweight, good suspension - not an easy thing to be pleased with after using a cam but I have been. I already had a quest (for holidays, sling in car etc) but not keen as just felt too low and flimsy for me.

I've just sold my black xt and bought a new one for new baby plus a quest (they were both on offer) plus a new cam .

the xt has lots of lovely features...

bigger seat so better for older toddlers, tilting hood which is fab for summer and winter sun nicer handles! which are adjustable too. comfort pack..

but depends how often you are too use it. I love quests but without the suspension they aren't such a nice push but my boys have always seemed to be comfy in a quest

If any of the adults are particular short they may find the XT handles too high.

thanks everyone!

Just thought I'd come back and say we bought a black/scarlet quest stroller today. paid £119.95 plus free carry bag so felt we got a good deal.

My mum who is the granny is quite short and said she felt the quest was lighter to lift.

I also felt we'd be too tempted to use the xt rather than cam which I love and would then have spent all that money for nothing. Maybe when he's older we'll sell the cam and buy an xt!
