nicolamumof3 · 05/01/2010 18:12

yes boden is huge for boys stuff. Tate is just fitting into 3-4. Not ordering any boden for luka as Tate had quite a bit this year so will naturally pass down. Was ordering next size up for Tate so age 5 for him next winter

maxybrown · 05/01/2010 19:06

No Diva, 2/3 I have ordered. Only got tops though. Ds still EASILY fitting in his 18/24 from Boden

Divatheshopaholic · 05/01/2010 21:17

Nicola, dd wear her 3-4 tops this year, as Boden dont do 4-5,iyswim. She is 5 at easter, there is not huge difference between 3-4,5-6 only slightly longer on sleeve and body
I checked Boden site and resisted half price tops

nicolamumof3 · 05/01/2010 21:25

3-4 still bit big on tate so 5-6 should be nice for next winter then!

im trying to be good after watching C4 big diet but im hungry waaaaaaah!!!!!!!!!

horsemadgal · 05/01/2010 23:47

What age is Tate Nicola? My 6 year old wearing age 5-6 Boden. Hard to know for sizes in advance though.

nicolamumof3 · 06/01/2010 07:32

he's just four. I literally ordered the size up from what he's wearing now i.e boden age 4 trousers and 3-4 tops so i got trousers age 5 and 5-6 tops. Only got tops that were less than half price tho as i know it will be a while til they fit!!

Morning all btw from a snowy Tonbridge! Luckily we haven't had enough to close the school tho woohoo! just enough to look pretty but not disrupful how is it over your way dunoon?

Divatheshopaholic · 06/01/2010 08:33

Morning, schools are open today
Anyway, it will give me time to do things in the house since half tern started.
Last night i brought down 2 little suitcase full of summer clothes, and sorted them out. I not sure if i clear out dd`s clothes as she is slimmer but taller.
Also i found 5 pair of boden shorts and baggies in size 2-3 loads summer tops and dresses for dd size 5-6
BTW, someone buy my MB please

carrielou2007 · 06/01/2010 10:43

Morning.

We have about a foot of snow here and it's still snowing!! Dd is so upset she can't go to playgroup (it's not on I've already rung them but it's over two bridges so I'm a bit relieved!!)

I'm sending her out in the garden with her dad in a bit to make snowmen, I'm not venturing outside, much as I want this baby out not today!!

nicolamumof3 · 06/01/2010 10:44

oooh carrielou i was wondering about you! if you get stuck will it be home birth?

pebbles79 · 06/01/2010 10:51

Our schools/nurseries are back tomorrow and I'm dreading it! Really not looking forward to pushing a pram one handed while holding Liam's hand and trying to watch over Ross at the same time - wouldn't be so bad if my journey wasn't so long! I'm definitely learning how to drive this year!

carrielou2007 · 06/01/2010 11:07

dd was a big baby, back to back and got stuck and whilst getting me ready for a c section I agreed to try forcepts. Plus I only have paracetamol and brandy here for pain relief!!!

nicolamumof3 · 06/01/2010 11:15

lol midwife would bring G&A tho?! i always wanted a home birth but since experiencing the wonders of a epidural third time round thats what i'd have again! if there ever was a no.4

carrielou2007 · 06/01/2010 11:44

I'm really rally hoping to have a nice straight forward birth this time. Part of never wanting another baby and on the waiting list to be sterilised was due to dd's birth. Hopefully a normal birth should lay those ghosts to rest but there still will be no more babies for me!!

janx · 06/01/2010 11:53

Carrielou - I had ds on the bathroom floor - big baby 9lb 10z. Wish I had opted for it in the first place - he came so quickly and everything is a big looser down there second time around. No midwife - just the ambulance man and dp and a bit of gas and air. I felt much more like I knew what to do and much more in tune with my body and the birth - that sounds very hippy dippy but it was true. Good luck

carrielou2007 · 06/01/2010 12:01

Dd's dad stayed last night because of the snow and this morning was feeling a bit amorous but I leapt out of bed shrieking 'don't touch me' and he said I've been moaning at him to 'get the baby out' all this last week. Umm, have you seen the snow??!!

janx · 06/01/2010 12:06

I would have chosen somewhere more comfortable - but the bathroom was easier to clean up! Are you on your own - living on your own I mean?

sal1309 · 06/01/2010 12:17

afternoon all

well we have got alot of snow here that came down over night and its still snowing

dd at preschool this morning although all the local schools ect are closed but i think because of where we live most of the staff at the nursery live on camp so can walk to work lol.

hoping they might let dh have a snow afternoon so we can all make snowmen together fingers crossed

carrielou2007 · 06/01/2010 12:19

Yes, it's my house and dd'd dad has his house but he has stayed a bit since christmas (just in case) plus I have the heating on and cook food but needs must at the moment!!

janx · 06/01/2010 12:36

Hope that didn't sound nosey - was more concerned that you would go into labour and not have someone to shoutat-- support you!

reallywoundup · 06/01/2010 13:16

hi ladies- quick question to see what you ladies 'in the know' would use. Have just bought a bargain mura 3 (i know its heavy but its for walking so i actually think it might be a keeper!)Anyway, footmuffs, don't like the matching one but can't use a buggysnuggle etc because of the bumper bar (unless i butcher one?) wwyd? dd is 22 months but tiny- in 9-12 month clothes. we use the buggy for school runs and shopping trips in a windy seaside welsh town!

lillychristmaspuddingandpie · 06/01/2010 13:36

Hi everyone lot's of snow here and my boss has just called and told me to stay home

carrielou you have funds hun xx - so loving the XT how did I manage so long without one!Had the trusty MB out today though.

horsemadgal · 06/01/2010 13:43

FlyMeToDunoon · 06/01/2010 13:49

Hello. Just managed to get the laptop off DP. He is writing CVs.
Snowy here and still snowing lightly. School closed. Luckily DDs have played really nicely, all together, upstairs all morning.
Still undecided on an MB although it would be exactly what is required today were we to venture out.

janx · 06/01/2010 13:53

How old is your youngest dunoon? Dd gave up buggies when she was 3 - but that was due to ds arriving and me refusing to get a double
