P & T Vibe Cocoon

Anyone know at what age you are supposed to switch from the cocoon to the second seat.

My DD is only 4 months butShe is kicking and wriggling the whole time she is in the cocoon and I think it may be because it is starting to be quite a tight squeeze.

On the other hand she still seems a bit little for the seat especially as it doesn't recline much.

Any ideas/suggestions anyone?

(apart from buying a nipper 360 instead - am already working on DH about it!)

You've done really well to keep her in it so long! I had to move DS out before he was 3 months, he hated it. I used the mattress type thing from the cocoon and just put it in the laid flat seat (where the cocoon goes). There is a lot more room this way.

I think I moved DS to the front seat at about 5 - 5 1/2 months. I know the younger DC is supposed to go in the underneath seat but DD likes to get out and walk quite a lot and there must always be a child in the front seat...

wow - the cocoon only lasted my dd about 4 weeks (little porker! I then lined the back seat with a sheepskin and used blankets but it was early autumn rather than winter by then. How about a cositoes type thing on top of a lambskin?

Or...when you say cocoon do you actually mean the flat (reclined front) seat that she seems too big for? If that is the case, I know what you mean, the back seat doesn't recline much. I persuaded DS that the back seat was a "secret seat" and got him to ride there so that younger DD could be reclined and tucked up more cosily in front seat. Strictly I know you aren't supposed to do it this way round, but DS was quite light so didn't make the buggy tip over and the back seat doesn't seem very comfy for a child that is only just sitting up.

i asked this question two months ago when ds was 4mo. everyone said 3-5months was when they shifted their kid. i did it at 4months and ds a lot happier.

i got the p&t sleeping bag for him in the back and he's never had any problems sitting up and always seemed snug.

but yes, i too am working on dh re a nipper.... it will not make me popular given we bought the vibe new and it was a great big expense for us.

Thanks.

My DD is a tiddler which is how we have managed so long.

I hadn't thought of just ditching the cocoon bit and still using the front seat reclined. I'll give that a try and see if she is any happier.
