PROBLEMS WITH PHIL AND TEDS SPORT HOOD

hi
i bought a phil and teds sport 2 months ago. It has been sitting in the box until baby girl born last week. I am having trouble putting the hood on. The first two parts fit nicely into the holes provided. but when i try and put the side ones in they just "ping" out when i move the hood. It doesn't seem safe to me if any child is siting in the upright position as these two metal rods could poke them in the head if you move the hood.As so many people buy these prams i must be doing something wrong.
I really would like to go out for a walk tomorrow and can't get to toys r us where i bought it form till Tuesday the earliest so if anyone can hep it would be really appreciated

You need to put them in at an angle before you fit the higher two on the metal thingys.

You need to have the hood pulled down to the front before you put the hooks in. If you look at the holes they just kind of slot in.

Really hard to explain without actually being there iyswim.

Have you had a look on youtube to see if there is a vid of it?

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
just did that and seems to do the trick.
the instructions says pull the hood back which i assumed meant up.
I will test it when i go out for our first walk later.
I guess i will have to be careful every time i open and close the hood (for now) until i get used to it
Thanks again

If you stand in front of the buggy and hold the hood, folded, at waist height. Move round to the side then slot the hook in then do the same at the other side. Then pull the hood back and it should be sorted.
